I've been on here for 5 years so how does that make me new to these boards? I don't get into the calling any fighter names like *******, *****, coward, catchweight king etc. I have respect for all fighters that get in the ring and I value that more than getting and understanding of you and your little cheerleader catchweight groupies. My point was that he OFFERED the lower weight first regardless of when it was. Also, you don't know what the "stipulations" were at the time unless you were at the table or you heard it come from Floyd or Canelo's mouth. Have fun defending the mean of Catchweight King. lol

I doubt you've been on here 5 days or you would know the fighter that demands the other guy drop weight like Pac did to Cotto and Mayweather is doing with Canelo is called a Catchweight King. This is THE Consensus of this message board. And what Pac did and what Floyd is doing is FACT! All parties have clearly indicated this. This is not opinions or rumors, these are facts. During negotiations it is a fact Canelo and his team did not want the fight under 154. But please feel free to make yourself look like a Fool and put up a thread with vote buttons with the 4 names of the fighters and ask people to pick out the Catchweight Kings and you will see the overwhelming pick of Floyd and Pac. NO ONE considers Canelo and Cotto Catchweight Kings. You are grabbing at straws big time.

well floyd ask for 147 should the fight be at 147 then because you said canelo as for the fight at 152 dont make a difference

Canelo could walk..... so why doesn't he?

Because he:
- wants the biggest payday of his life
- wants what Floyd has ( to be the top guy)
- and his team believe he can do it
- and his team have agreed the risk is worth the potential reward

Just like Canelo... you have a choice
keep crying over weight and how unfair this fight is.... or put up all your points

Canelo is a joke just like pac and Fraud, making a 140lbs fighter go up to 154 and then weight 170 is worst than the 2 little pounds fraud is asking, stfu, he is getting what he deserve and will be taken to school by fraud...

Oscar De la Hoya and Miguel Cotto didn't outweigh Floyd? Oh yeah they were geratric compared to Alvarez so of course it's ok to drain Alvarez and not them right? The whole outweighing Floyd by 20 pounds is completely exaggerated. You have no way to back that up as fact.

That's the thing. Your example above is exactly the way it should be.

Voluntarism - not being forced to come in below the official weight limit. Ideally, both guys would have the option of weighing in anywhere from 148lb to 154. That's 6 pounds to play around with, within the Jr. Middleweight division. Both guys could come in comfortable, with Floyd coming in lighter and Canelo coming in heavier, instead of this deceiving tactic to deplete a fighter on fight night.

Canelo was not forced to accept this fight at a catchweight. He could have easily declined the catchweight but he volunteered to accept the fight at a catchweight. There was no deception here. Canelo is perfectly aware of what he signed up for. Damn, most of you are just plain ******.
