About a week later the 2 pound weight allowance kicked in and it was much easier for him to make weight. He wrestled the kid again in the championship of another tournament and completely dominated winning like 12-2. He was fast, very explosive and his stamina looked great.
I'm not saying Cotto was drained or not or the catchweight affected his performance but I am saying that the last pound or two "can" affect a athlete that is already struggling to make weight.

Interview right after the fight.
"what was the difference in the fight?"
- Cotto - I couldn't see his punches .... I didn't know where those punches were coming from!!!!
What don't you get? These are Cotto's own words not mine. Cotto said the difference was Manny's speed and the angles that those punches came from .
Most people would get it especially when you hear it from Cotto himself ..... you just need to watch the fight and you would realize what Cotto is saying.
