Opinions are opinions and one should respect them, but I honestly can't respect a poster who has Pacquiao rated #1 on their P4P list. What has he done lately, when was the last time he actually put on a good performance? Let alone one that parallels his status in the sport. Andre Ward has been dominant against tough opposition, I can't even imagine how any writer would still have Manny ranked higher P4P. Even Martinez has put in more work, on top of that stopping his last few recent opponents. People need to get past their, I don't even know what to call it anymore but it's disgusting to say the least

It's reasonable to disagree. I think Pac looked pretty good lately, except against Marquez, same story as ever just no kds and outsized expectations. And why penalize him for not koing opponents in his 7th weightclass, if anything it's impressive that a 1d slugger is making easy work of the bigger guys having left his power below.
Sergio is on a 3 fight streak against non top 100 p4p comp, Ward had a similar streak just before Froch. Collectively they have 1 top 10 p4p win, 2 top 20. Ward just passed up an opportunity at his second divisional belt, the lineal one. All top smws want Sergio, has he hit his ceiling with his second belt?

Against Bradley, Pacquiao fought in spurts for the most part, then proceeded to lose the championship rounds against an opponent with two bad feet. Pacquiao also looked horrible against Mosley, an opponent most of us expected him to shine against. My issue with Manny is that he continues to reiterate how one dimensional he is, and how poor his ability to cut off the ring is. Katsidis and Juan Diaz aren't regarded as highly as Manny but neither found trouble in trapping Marquez and putting in some pretty good work early. I'm critical of that stuff because my criteria for P4P is performance, displaying an array of skills (versatility), opposition and time; recent work. I know it's all subjective but Manny doesn't quite fit that criteria.
I know this will hurt a few but the last time Manny actually accomplished something was when he beat Clottey. I'm somewhat being generous there because I do consider Clottey to be a good fighter, but Clottey as we know it is an underachiever who lost most of his big fights. This was in 2010 too and we're now in 2012. So this is where my distaste comes from when people still rate him #1 P4P, I usually don't even bother responding to posters who still rate him that highly. I really question whether they even watch the sport.
Ward, going into the Super 6 was still technically a prospect and Ward ran through everyone like a hot knife through butter. He completely dominated AA, Kessler and Froch which was unexpected. Also, before you start kncoking Sergio's run, the consensus when the fight was first being talked about was that Martinez was ducking Dzinziruk. On top of that most saw Macklin beat Strum, so I never had an issue with this choice of opponent. However I did have an issue with him opting for Barker. I'm not penalizing Manny for not stopping some of his recent foes by the way, I'm simply saying that at the very least...Martinez stopped Dzinziruk, Barker and Macklin which equates for something.
Sergio stopping people not in the top 50 p4p equates to nothing, as they came to fight.
People who fight Pac dont come to fight, they come not to get knocked out, that is their victory. Running away from Pac and initiating nothing, just trying to make Pac look bad. Well if you ran away from Sergio, Ward and in particular Floyd how bad would they look?
