and floyd performance against cotto was not a strong showing in the least.

i dont neccessarily have tons of issues with the ranking

    it's the timing.

it's very clearly a marketing ploy

joint number two is best - until they fight eachother they cannot prove who should be number 1 and saying one over the other is just opinion. manny certainly looked poor against marquez but floyd looked beatable against cotto - i only gave cotto 3 rounds but only had mayweather being completely dominant in a rare few, the rest were fairly close with floyd edging them.

        Cotto owned round 8.

Floyd took the first 5 rounds, I don't see how anyone could have given Cotto any of those. Round 5, who some gave to Cotto, Floyd was on the ropes but out fought Cotto the whole round off the ropes and out landed him.

Round 6 was Cotto. Round 7 was Floyd. Round 8 was Cotto.

Round 9 was close, could have gone either way. No problem with either fighter winning that round.

            Floyd won rounds 10-12 clearly.

            118-110/117-111.

pacman doesnt deserve to be p4p number 1 because he arguably just lost to marquez, and has fought a couple of well past it guys like margarito and mosley.

mayweather doesnt deserve to be p4p number 1 either because he hasnt been willing to fight the best to prove it.

I find it hilarious that the ring would try to make their P4P more credible then their own titles.

What's strange is that Cotto can fight Vanes Martirosyan for the Ring belt.

The ring doesn't want no vacant division champs. So they change rules. But, have a vacant #1 P4P guy to bring credibility?

What universe does that make sense?

no one gives a damn about who the ring thinks is P4P after oscar bought it

Everyone knows Pac is P4P and has been since before the oscar fight

Just look at floyds last 2 fights, a washed up cotto, and a 24 year old kid in ortiz who he had to sucker punch to win

Pac's last 2 fights, a first ballot HOFer in Marquez and a undefeated #1 ranked 140 pound fighter in the world (who would beat floyd, Cotto and Ortiz easily)

Pac is No1 he beat common opponents much easier. It has been argued by FLoyd fans that on some of the opponents Floyd might have beat them when they were marginally better.

Therefore Pac is no1 until Floyd beats Pac to prove its not all talk. Thats the fairest it can be and anything else is showing favouritism and reaching and trying to make Floyd not fight Pac.
