Lara would give Martinez some problems, their handspeed is comparable but Martinez has much better footspeed, head movement, workrate and power. Lara would get stopped late.

I watched Lara-Molina twice -- when it first happened, and again just a couple of weeks ago. The first time I thought Carlos should've gotten the nod. I didn't think it was a robbery, but I felt Erislandy got a bit of a gift. The second time I thought the fight was a little closer. It now seems to me that a draw was a pretty fair decision. If I had to choose a winner in the fight, I would go with Molina. I just wouldn't call Carlos the winner of that fight the way I call Lara the winner over Williams.

Molina is a resourceful fighter. But the cat is out of the bag. Carlos is no longer underrated. We agree that Lara is the more skilled fighter. I believe he took Molina lightly the first time. That won’t happen again. I would welcome a rematch. Carlos deserves it…and I'd like to see the questions put to rest.

I really think with Lara's traps and Sergio's hand down style, Lara wins. We already saw Martinez doesn't fight too well vs counter punchers/passive fighters until he adjusts sooo...
And what happens when Martinez adjusts?

Molina never hurt Lara he was the one hurt, he can't break an egg much less hurt Lara and to the body? You most be Molina or his brother...

Some of you on here really don't like Martinez or just don't think he is all that which is fine but dude is getting KO's even after his opponents are putting up a fight and who were not garbage fighters. Martinez is the goods, so keep thinking he is overrated if you want. Lara got robbed in the Williams fight but guess what? Sergio blew Williams out in the rematch and even arguably got robbed in their first fight. I would love to see the fight and after Martinez gets Lara out of the ring, watch the same people say that "Martinez made Lara move up where he wasn't comfortable" or "Lara is not that experienced". Same thing these same people said about Sergei who was/is considered a solid fighter. Barker had a solid defense and Macklin arguable got robbed against Sturm. Lara got a draw against Molina, couldn't put Williams out after beating him up the whole fight and just blew out a never was fighter in Hearns and I'm supposed to believe that this kid can beat Martinez? The sport needs to put him in a fight against a top opponent so we can see what he is really made of before people jump out the window talking about he can beat Martinez.
Come on bro, Molina is the type that would make ANY fighter look ****ty and Lara is not 5'11" like Sergio and was punching up 4 inches vs Williams.

So, you're telling me Barker and Macklin are better than Lara?

You know you're talking about a 1 inch difference right?

This is universally true for everyone, not just Martinez.
