Come on bro, Molina is the type that would make ANY fighter look ****ty and Lara is not 5'11" like Sergio and was punching up 4 inches vs Williams.

So if Lara had a hard time with Williams because he was punching up 4 inches then why should I believe that Lara could beat Sergio who put Williams in semi retirement and punched his heart out. Lara had an easier time with Williams than he did vs Molina ffs. It took Martinez a rematch to take Paul Williams out, Lara schooled him EASILY in 1 try with a big ass bump on his forehead.

I'm saying that Barker and Macklin are legit middle weights and Lara has never fought there so who knows if Lara could do anything with them guys. Barker and Macklin may not have been big names at the weight class but they were legit fights on paper and they came to fight. Just because Sergio Martinez is a name fighter who everyone expects to blow everyone out the water don't mean that he won't have a challenge here and there. I would think that people would know in the sport of boxing that there are guys who are not media fighters that can fight. Look at all the upsets in boxing over the past year and a half. No one thought Salido had a shot at beating Lopez the first time. I would like to see more of Lara against legit opponents. I hope he gets a good challenge soon.

YOU said that Lara had to punch up 4 inches when fighting Williams and that's why he should get a pass compared to Sergio Martinez. Sergio in my opinion beat Williams in the first fight and just finished the job in the rematch. Lara basically used the same punch that Sergio used to beat up Williams.

Im not sure we will ever seen Lara fighting at MW. If people think Sergio is a small MW then Lara would be super small in that division. I think he just wants Sergio out of there. Well, as the rumors go around of Chavez not signing the fight vs Martinez maybe we could get Lara vs Martinez. Dibella said he would consider Lara if he got past Hearns and he sure did so make it happen. I don't want Lara fighting when Martinez gets older then if he wins everyone comes out with the "he was too old excuse." Same way they are saying Lara beat a faded Williams...
