1st Mayweather fight I would not pay to watch

even by 2013 saul alvarez still won't have done enough **** to be a justified opponent for Mayweather. He brings nothing to the table but a big fanbase of lovesick Mexicans that will support him with no respect to logic.

If Canelo beats a Top SWW in September (Cotto-Lara-Molina-Kirkland), than why shouldn't Floyd fight Canelo in December??? Sergio is fighting Lee/Chavez in September, Pac will be signed to fight JMM/Rios for November, Khan will be fighting his first WW fight around the Fall 2012 probably. His only options for December would be Andre Berto, if he beats Ortiz in June. Or Canelo, if he beats a Top SWW in September first.

Sergio isn't possible until 2013, even Sergio said that himself when he said "I want Chavez first in September and than Mayweather". Sergio fights every 5-7 months. The soonest he'll fight after September is probably March-May.

I don't see why people don't udnerstand this.....

Canelo has not showed me that he is close to ready to fight Floyd. Maybe he does for Floyd fans, I guess .... but the truth is that it's because the odds are improving on this fight happening.

Canelo, in my eyes needs more time to develop. For Floyd fans, he is one fight away from Floyd!

Yesterday (and other days), Floyd fans were saying but Marquez called out Floyd as their excuse for Floyd "picking on a" guy that was 2 fights from his 130lbs fights! Floyd didn't even have to come down to make the fight respectable .... but Floyd fans said "but Marquez wanted to fight Floyd at Floyd's best weight" .... YIKES!!!

Have we not yet realized that this is not the type of thing Floyd cares about? Why do we still have these threads about his legacy? It's clear he does not care what we think about his legacy. He fights to make money so of course Canelo will earn him more money than Martinez. Don't lump me in with them. I never liked the Marquez fight to begin with, and don't try and say because Floyd wuldn't come down it made the fight legit, you would still be crying about how marquez was too small once Floyd rehydrated anyways.

I think Floyd fans are satisfied no matter who he fights. I think it's his detractors who want to see him fight Martinez and Pacquiao, not because it will enhance his legacy, but for the possibility for him to lose his "0".

Floyd's boxing legacy is secure already without having to fight Martinez, although I think he should fight Martinez
