This may be a long shot, but I think Robert Helenius will have a strong claim. Especially if he beats Chisora convincingly.

So far he's KO'd Peter and LiaKhovich. A KO of Chisora might be icing on the cake.

His win over Acosta and Antillon have set him up for massive things next year AND he will be in an absolute brawl with Murray on the Cotto undercard. I expect him to win inside 6 rounds, but it won't disappoint whilst it lasts.

I'll vote for Donaire.

Montiel was a pound 4 pound fighter and he absolutely destroyed him.

Omar Narvaez, even though it wasn't a very good fight, Donaire pretty much dished out a shutout over a guy who was undefeated and had something like 20 title defenses so it's a very good win.

No one else really stands out in 2011. Floyd had one fight so no. Pac had mosley & a very tough fight against marquez so no. Martinez didn't do anything. Rios had a great year but I don't think his opponents were on the level of the guys donaire beat. Khan a pretty good year but certainly not FOTY worthy. Froch/Ward winner will only have one fight for the year.

Ward/Froch winner would be up there as well.
