Cotto stops Margarito this time and heres why!

I picked Margarito for the first fight, but I pretty much agree with everything the TS said. The Margarito that we once knew is long gone. I think he might go pretty quickly in this fight, especially if Cotto puts the early assault on him like he did the first time around. I know Margarito's chin is legendary, but I think his punch resistance is completely gone after what Mosley and Pacquiao did to him. Cotto is no longer at his best either, but right now, I think he retires Margarito.

I don't see a stoppage for Cotto unless he keeps going to the body.
Unless Cotto stays in the center to box and works on his stamina he should win.

Otherwise it's the same result with Marg putting a beat down with or without plaster.

There is a very good chance Cotto stops Margarito because of Margarito's eye but he shold not go looking for a KO. The gameplan should be about going 12 rounds and winning round by round fighting all 3 minutes. Cotto will land the flashy and eye catching punches because of his speed so winning rounds won't be a problem. Cotto should use his jab as the first option and use it to set up the hook to the body followed by the right hand. He should put pressure on Margarito and stay out of the ropes because you can't go on the ropes and move backwards against a high volume puncher.

Cotto will win and if the oppurtunity to take Margarito out comes he will finish him.

I don't think Margarito will come in that deteriorated. After the way Mosley Ko'd him everyone was sure that the Cotto fight had caught up to him. Then we found out he was weight drained. Afterwards he took a worse beating from a guy who is stronger than Cotto or Shane; Pacquiao. And not only did he not get decked but he made it to the final bell. He also hurt Manny bad with a body shot. I don't know man but Roach said they checked Tony wraps and they were clean. If you listen to Pac after the fight he says he couldn't believe how strong Tony was. He even admitted that he got hurt to the face and body. There were rumors that Pac suffered broken ribs. However team Pac denied it. but there are videos on youtube of Pac getting his whole abdomen bandaged after the Marg fight. Then there is another video where he has difficulty moving and his wife is helping him eat. So he obviously got hurt bad by a so called "plaster-less, powerless bum" who didn't even land that many punches. If Marg shows up at least how he did against Manny he will stop Cotto IMO.

That's as accurate as it can get. I don't even think weight had anything to do with the Mosley fight, it was more of Marg thinking about the repercussions about the aftermath of the wraps scandel that he wasn't even thinking about the fight anymore. Theirs a reason Pac won't fight anymore 150 + fighters anymore n that's cause he got hurt against Marg. Mentally Marg has the advantage cause all his career his had to take massive punishment so that's nothing new to him. Like some said if Marg's face can hold up to some of the punches that Cotto well clearly land then Cotto is taking a knee faster this time around. Another way to see it is if Marg is willing to take that much punishment anymore. Yes maybe his face can hold up but well he mentally want to take that much punishment anymore? After that beating he took I wouldn't be surprise if he doesn't have that much determination to fight back n just want's to survive all 12 rounds.

i think cotto wins but not by stoppage. i just don't see that happening. marg took a 12 round beating against pac and wasn't stopped. imo cotto doesn't have the stamina nor the power to stop marg but he can very well get a decision. i believe marg is more broken than cotto so it might be easier for cotto this time around.
