Compare this now to his connect rate for power punches. 50% at an average of 22/rd.! 22 per round, that's the total that Shane landed for the whole 12 rounds. And this was against a running Shane. A smaller guy whose reach is several inches shorter but connecting half of his power punches on a bigger guy who was on a running and defense mode. He did this not just to Shane but to most of his recent opponents who are as big or even bigger than Mosley. How does he do it?

If you can figure out this puzzle, then you'll get an inkling why Floyd would have no part of Pac.
Come on all you boxing experts, solve the puzzle!

      Total punches 12 rds. **** Landed ***** % ******* Powr pchs Lndd ***** %
      FM/SM = 477/453 ******* 208/92 **** 44/20 ******* 123/46 ******* 46/27
      MP/SM = 727/330 ******* 224/66 **** 31/20 ******* 177/22 ******* 50/28

      1) Shane landed more punches on Floyd (92) than on Pac (66).
      2) Shane landed more power punches on Floyd (46) than on Pac (22).
      3) Floyd landed 123 (46%)power punches on Shane, Pac landed 177 (50%).
      4) Pac landed more punches on a running Shane (224) than Floyd (208) on a willing to exchange Shane.

Question: Based on these stats and considering that Pac had a height, weight and reach disadvantage against Shane, who's the more accomplished boxer, Floyd or Pac?
so compubox counts now??just asking cause it was discredited since the ortiz fight..in the floyd fight mosley actually tried to fight...he didnt do **** in the manny fight a year later..manny throws more than floyd this isnt to be argued so yea he landed more...i just wanna see this damn fight

Have you ask yourself why Shane would rather trade with Floyd but not with Pac?

cause manny hits harder and is more aggressive..this is common knowledge..they have 2 different styles

and on top of that manny fights them AFTER floyd and gets the benefit to see a good plan to beat them

Pacquiao landing anything but his jab against a bigger guy doesn't mean much other than throwing a jab when you're at a reach disadvantage is going to serve one purpose only, and landing that punch isn't the reason you're throwing it, it's to follow it up with other more meaningful punches

the difference between Floyd and Shane is that Shane doesn't control distance between himself and his opponent nearly as well as Floyd does. Floyd will completely and utterly control the entire ring against any opponent, that's something Shane can't do

Because Floyd doesn't get into exchanges, Pacquiao does and is quicker to the punch than Mosley

Pacquiao will never beat a fighter like Floyd who picks his shots and doesn't waste movement, and controls distance. Pacquiao would need to be a bigger guy to be competitive, any real boxing fan (no bull****, just honest to goodness breakdown of facts) knows this

the media has hyped the **** out of Pacquiao as the savior of boxing, the guy who will dethrone the Devil, Floyd Mayweather. Arum won't let this fight happen, that's why Manny needs to sue that crock of **** and decline to renew his contract after the Marquez fight

But do you still maintain that your thread statement is accurate?

With what I saw against Ortiz. If Mayweather fights like that, he loses plain and simple.

And Floyd isn't going to clinch and hug Pacquiao. In the process of doing that, he is going to get tagged 3-4 times with lasers. What Floyd will do is back up, go into his shoulder roll shell and try to deflect punches. Then when Pacquiao smothers himself, he will hook an arm or stick the elbow in his throat.
However, Pacquiao hasn't shown his normal idiot method of smothering himself lately. So I expect body punches when in that close proximity. Followed by uppercuts.

                  Key Punch: Left hook.
the highlighted part is a gimme..

                  that's part pf floyd's arsenal..

How the hell you made a comparison in someone like Mosley and Clottey who didn't win a single round against Pacquiao? Mosley was knocked down and run for his dear life while Clottey like a turle hiding inside his shell afraid of getting knocked out. At least when you make a comparison please use those boxers who almost beat Pac or they won a few rounds against him. That would make sense to us.
