Boxing better get it's **** together. All these so called great fighters fighting bums and old men. All these promoters refusing to work with each other. Meanwhile the UFC is putting on Mega fights every month. It's only a matter of time before boxing is dead for good. None of these fighters fight for the fans. None of these promoters put on fights the fans wanna see. Boxing is very frustrating cause there are so many great fights out there that can keep boxing relevant but they just wont make them.

bull****. boxing is the better product hands down, it will always win out. UFC has been stale for a while. you're crying about these **** fights, yet watch pac-mosley do 1.5mill PPV. if fans were truly fed up, they wouldn't pay for it anymore. but they keep doing so, because there ain't nothing like a big fight between two big names.

Pac's not fighting Berto. Forget it. JMM has no promoter so Top Rank can keep all the profits. He's also a bigger draw having had 1+million PPV with Mayweather, and with his history with Pac. No way Arum is taking a fight with unproven and unknown Berto, with nothing to gain for Pac, which will make much less money, and where he'll also have to split the profits.

Berto will be one of the very last options for Pac maybe for late 2012, 2013, unless he becomes a mega star quick smart. Won't do that by fighting the **** fights he's been taking, that's for sure. He doesn't deserve the fight anyway. He could have signed for Top Rank last year, and Arum said he'd put him in tough fights to make him a star leading to a pac fight, but he chose to keep doing what he's doing fighting Hernandez's and Ortiz's. If Mayweather wasn't able to knock Marquez out at WW, I don't think Pacquiao can too. A KD maybe, but Marquez is smart enough not to get KTFO. I think if a third fight gets made, it will be just like the first two, a very inconclusive close fight. Pacquiao is obviously afraid to fight Marquez the third time because he knows Dinamita has his number. Why do people think Pac wants to fight at WW while he can still make JWW? An advantage of course. I doubt a third fight ever gets made.

FWIW....why wouldn't it be in Sept though? Mexican independence day, plus Koncz stated if the Mosley fight isn't difficult they would like to return in Sept.

Marquez could have a quick tuneup in the summer.

You might be right on Nov. but IMO depending on the Mosley fight, it makes sense to have it in Sept.

Also if Berto loses out on this fight he has no one to blame but himself.

He is just paying for his bad career choices, taking the easy way out and flat out not building his name up.

While I like the matchup, and Ortiz is talented, Victor has looked like **** so I doubt Berto gets much credit unless he blows him out the water.

yeah but according to the Pacquiao haters, Manny hasn't improved since Marquez and has only looked good because he has faced shot, weight-drained, tailor-made opponents.
