No knock on Donaire but his success is mostly attributed to his size

It reminded me of a young Oscar at the lower weights beating up on guys who looked clearly alot smaller.

Donaire is my man but he's not nowhere near the Floyd-Pac catagory until I see him in a big fight against a guy who is physically the same sized. If he moves up and then beats or even hangs with those guys then Ill give him more props
you do know that donaire is 5'6 & started at 115lbs right? i just dont understand all the donaire is too big talk. he made weight & that makes him legitimate fighter in that division.

why do people act as if donaire is 5'11 & started at 130lbs then worked his way down?

this **** just does not make sense.

By the way, I bet half of these posters never watched Oscar or Shane at LW. It's the same with Donaire, and I'm not discrediting Nonito.

i dont understand why dominican posters have such hate for philippine fighters.

We all know about dios dominicano (dominican playing a gay persona) & we all know about soy dominicano's hate for pac...

              what's up with that?

Dom. Thats just plain crazy. Montiel OUT-weighted Donaire last night. So technically he was the bigger fighter. The KD was pure skill. He timed Fernando and dropped the left over Montiel's right. Thats all there is to it.

Lets not forget Donaire rehydrated within the customary 5-10 pounds. Not 18-25 like alot of fighters nowadays.

apparently being a 5'6 bantamweight is a big no no according to dom.

                  disgusting.

He may be bigger but it isn't his size that allowed himmto beat people.

                      It was his left hand...

He's tall, fast, powerful, southpaw. This doesn't mean that his size was what contributed to it, because he KTFO people.

To say his size is mostly why he is where he is is such a discredit to him.

For example we can say floyd's speed and reactions onlynwhere he is, because he is faster and has better reactions than most boxers out tjere.

dLt made a good point, but then all boxers need to have equal speed, reach etc then right?

                      These attributes make a fighter...

Floyd would be steve forbes wihout his attributes

Maidana would be a joirneyman without his power
