And Sugar Ray Leonard did this often as well, even fought one fight for two titles? So I guess he isn't a legend either...
Your making the mistake of using logic and facts. That's not allowed around here.

I've never defended this mosley fight, I'm taking it as a stay busy fight just the way it is. It's a money grab and a low risk fight, pac's just waiting to see if floyd ever gets his **** together. I didn't give any credit to lil floyd when he fought the old man. I'm not gonna give pac any credit for it either.

That said if it's between mosley and jmm, give me mosley all day. People who think jmm is anything worth damn over 135 are fooling themselves. He wouldn't make it 3 rounds with pac no matter how much piss he drinks. If he can beat berto that would make him viable. If he can't even beat berto he doesn't need to be mentioned as a real opponent at 147, he's just out classed. It's not 2008 bro, wake up
Very good and intelligent post! Not too many of these lately.

That seems to be the case, doesn't it...

I personally feel that Mayweather never had any intentions of manking the weight. One, as a negotiation tactic so Pac couldn't ask for a catchweight. Secondly, because he's boxing savvy enough to know not to drain himself.

Once again, you're leaning on the logic that since Pac would eb a favorite against JMM, there's no need to fight him. Likewise, Mayweather would eb a favorite to beat Pac. So according to your logic, what need is there to fight him?

Yes, if he did have no intention to make weight, then that was very unprofessional of him to say he would then flat out disregard it. Either way, the fact is he signed a contract that had a contracted weight of 144lbs, which is a catchweight, regardless if he made the weight or not. And if he felt he would have to drain himself to make it, he shouldn't have signed it to begin with. It's all on him, which I could care less about that, but catchweights are a part of boxing. I don't agree with it but then I don't agree with much of the shenanigans anymore. I just want to see good fights...

I think he's trying to say that Pac already fought him twice and got the decision the second time. If they made a third fight, Pac would be a huge favorite. Pacquaio hasn't fought Mayweather yet so Floyd may be favored, but when you have yet to square off, you can never be too sure (anything can happen in boxing)...
