so this is what all these losers are basically saying "Black Fighters Stop Using Your Speed And Athleticism, Stand And Fight And Take UNNECESSARY PUNISHMENT So We Can Be Entertained" so basically lets take away your speed advantage so boxing can be more even and others fighters can have a better chance to beat you

well boxing doesn't work like that, other guys need to get more BOXING SKILLS, learn how to cut the ring off and learn how to slow the faster guys down, Hagler wasn't the fastest guy and neither was Foreman but they fought faster guys and didn't b*tch and complain about guys "RUNNING" they went in the ring and hunted their opponent down and wore them out and MADE THEM SLOW DOWN then they would FINISH THEM OFF by the 8th or 9th Round

Mayweather can be beat as well as the other top fighters today, but the problem is that guys are going AWAY from boxing and going more towards "Brawling To Be More Entertaining" but then when they run into a boxer, then they get exposed for what they really are which is ONE-Dimensional, Mosley is very entertaining and is a great fighter...AGAINST GUYS THAT FIGHT COMING FORWARD! but 5 out of 6 of his losses came from BOXES (Winky Wright twice, Vernon Forrest twice and Mayweather)...that is not a coincidence

I take the overall skilled Boxer over the unskilled but Power and Entertaining Brawler ANY DAY!

LOL Mayweather has almost every fight he's ever been on, a championship fight. Did he fabricate the champions and then beat them? Did he put Mosley as the #3 p4p and the WW lineal champ and then beat him? Did he put Oscar as the JMW lineal champ and then beat him? How many catchweighs has he had?
Floyd fought the best man, look at his record and the guys' records and you can't say that with a straight face.
Oh and he did it without taking any loss.

Roy Jones....well he did ducked Lewis after he beat ruiz.
If you want to say manny that would be the first actually great fighter he ducked. In my original statement I did say when they were young bucks though, although what he responed to I didn't clarify.

I can't say Roy ducked Lewis.

I can see right through this f@gget azz coon **** he doing. The game is to hit and not get hit. Whether you white black, or Mexican. The reason you fight is to win. If you please the crowd so be it. The ultimate goal is to win the prize. It is called prize fighting isn't it.

When dudes like p will and Bradley fight all I here is they have no defense. If a Mexican or white dude gets hit he is warrior. Gtfoh.

lol are you fcuking serious? the only reason why these fights are being staged is because there are people who are willing to pay to watch them. without boxing fans, the sport of boxing is dead. without boxing fans, there is no reason for any fighter to even try to win. fighters fight mainly for the crowd because that's where they get their prizes. of course they try to win so that people will want to watch their fights in the future. people love a winner.

what's your point? nobody is saying that fighters should not dodge punches. you can be defensive all you want as long as you try to beat your opponent the best way you can. again, why the fcuk would you think that fighters should not fight to entertain? that's the main objective of any sports not just boxing...to entertain the fans. fighters fight to entertain the fans and in return they get paid good money. that's what it is and will always be.

no you're the ******. leonard was well-loved by boxing fans, his fights were entertaining so i don't know what you're talking about. defensive style can be entertaining. it's the attitude of some defensive fighters that makes them boring. there's nothing wrong with having good defense but defense alone does not win fights. in fact, fights are won on how much more punches you landed on your opponent that what he landed on you. in other words, fighters should use their good defense to set up their offense. good defense should lead to good offense. having too much defense over your offense is boring...it is what is.

lol some of the reactions are ridiculous and ******. as a boxing fan and you pay to watch a fight, would you not want to be entertained? and if you want to be entertained would you not want the fighters to have it as a priority to entertain you?

I see your point but go back to Leonard. He fought the 1st duran fight completely different then the 2nd one. In the 2nd he fought only to win. In the 1st one he wanted to beat duran by fighting duran's style. Huge mistake. The Hagler fight he came up with a "winning style" by flurrying at the end rather then engage for too long.

respectfully, the main objective is to win, get paid, and not get hurt so you can continue to do your job!

As a boxing fan, I would fully understand the sport, understand what fighters go through during training and in the ring... and I would respect a fighters mental fortitude to come up with a gameplan to win the fight better than his opponent.

I would understand the sport itself.

I don't need rock em sock em robots to appreciate the sport or to be entertained by it.

Not all fights need to be Ward-Gatti to be entertaining, and I'm happy they aren't.
