Unlike most on here,I agree with U!!People seem to judge everything on a triangle theory basis!Their logic,well Mosley beat the crap out of Margarito & ko'd him,so of course Pacman does,well wrong!Mosley is physically the strongest welterweight,probably the hardest puncher too!Yes Pacman is faster & moves a lot,but he still gets hit a lot!!Margarito throws a lot of punches,he isn't like Clottey,he's a tad taller than DLH & he's a strong pressure fighter & his stamina is superb,we'll all see how the fight pans out after the 1st round,because when Margarito takes those flush bombs & answer's back with his own,it'll become a war of attrition & I think Margarito is tougher,in short he has a really good chance against Pacman!!

I remember discussing this match-up a few days after the fight was announced. I thought it would be slightly (note SLIGHTLY) competitive, but my brother wouldn't have any of it. He said that it would be like watching a live version of an old Rocky movie, with Margarito being stopped somewhere in the middle rounds. While at first I disagreed, he did make some good points.

Margarito has a better chin than Clottey(+)
Margarito has worse defense than Clottey (-)
Margarito will throw more than Clottey (+)
Margarito will present more counterpunching opportunities for Pacquiao (-)

In the end, it's easy to see why Pacquiao should be favored, but the weight should play a role in the picture, however small it may be.

One more thing, I haven't seen the García fight, but it's apparent Margarito didn't show anything noteworthy to justify him having a shot at Pacquiao (skill-wise).

The only way Margarito beats Pacquiao is if he's that same fighter he was before Mosley. The one that kept coming forward, throwing murderous body-punches, eating leather and never blinking. If Mosley did irreparable damage to Margarito's chin, expect a KO. If not, then this could be an interesting night.

Its very possible (Margs will be Pac's toughest fight). Pac is up against a much larger, experienced man that can fight hard for 12 rounds. He is skilled against fast opponents and can cut off the ring. Margs will be willing to trade with Pacquiao to get in his body shots and uppercuts. If Margs chin is still solid, it could prove to be a very hard night for Pacquiao.
