Team Pac screwed themselves......they could have gotten a 14 day cut-off and 50% of the money.....now they will likely have to settle for 45% of the money...best case scenario.........

Not for nothing but everyone says this. Granted, Pacquiao actually does give exciting fights. But if it doesn't make dollars, it doesn't make sense and that applies for every top draw in the sport today. You don't back out of negotiations with Hatton and De La Hoya if you felt any different. And you certainly don't take 500,000 in cash from one promoter while signing with a different one the next week if you didn't follow that mantra.

This is yet another part of the unglamorous side to boxing, the "negotiations." The fact is Mayweather goes into these talks in a stronger position than he was in when negotiations fell apart during the first attempt to make boxing richest fight. I don't think it's reasonable to come back to the negotiating table with the same set of expectations you had prior to the last performances of both fighters. That sort of reasoning makes no sense, because the fact is over both fighters last two fights, it's Pacquiao that's dropped while Mayweather's has increased in value aka PPV sales. Overall, his stock has risen while Pacquiao's has essentially stayed the same.
I'm not sure why Mayweather's camp would go in with the same mentality they had before PBF's last fight, this is business. And I don't get the double standard that's at work here. Pacquiao gets to make whatever accommodations for his side he wishes when he has the leverage, but if Mayweather does the same thing he's trying to duck the fight? Like it or not there's a certain amount of leverage that comes with the dollars he is able to generate. It's common sense at its most sensible.
This business of the Pacquiao camp crying foul in public over the last several days is indeed unseemly, but it's all part and parcel of the politics of boxing. They know their leverage has eroded so they hope going public with all the details of the negotiations will somehow coerce the Mayweather camp into a position more favorable to themselves. But in my way of thinking bitching to the media won't change the fact that they can't dictate the terms of the fight anymore.

This is bad news.
You are only looking at this from a Pacquiao fans perspective, and not from a boxing fans perspective, which is fine..... but there is a bigger picture.
In 40-50 years time, OST's will have been common-practice throughout the sport of boxing for decades. OST's will become mandatory in World Title Fights at least, guaranteed.
Every top fighter will take OST's. And anyone who refuses standard drug testing will be automatically branded a suspected drugs cheat, just like they are now in most amateur sports.
When you and I are both old men, and we reflect back on boxing history.....
Who's legacy will be affected by the fact that the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight did not happen because Manny wouldnt accept a 14-day cut off date for OST's ?
How is that gonna look? and what will you tell your grandchildren when they ask you why Manny wouldn't take the test and fight Floyd?
In my opinion, Manny has recently received some very good advice, as opposed to the TERRIBLE advice that he received during the initial negotiations...... I believe that Manny is now aware of how this looks to the average fan.
You just don't hesitate when it comes to drug testing, crazy stuff really.
I believe that Manny will accept 45% and a 5-10 day cutoff, because he has no choice. For Manny's legacy he HAS to fight Mayweather now, in order to clear the air about the random drug testing refusal.
