Maybe or maybe not because Manny Pacquiao
ain't no Floyd Mayweather Jr so wouldn't
expect him to fight like Floyd against Mosley.
Actually Manny's style would make it easier
for Mosley to land. I remember when people
were talking about Mosley and Pacquiao getting
it on and said that it would be an action packed
fight. Doesn't that mean it will be more all out
    slugging?

I see you have the pic when Mosley caught Floyd. I guess
you Pac fans have to cling on to something to make you feel
better because Mosley got his ass taxed that fight. I can
pull up NUMEROUS pics of Mosley head snapping back and
forth from Floyd's accurate punches. Hell! I have 2 on my
      sig.

How long will it take before Roach comes up with a game plan
to beat Floyd? He's been talking about it for awhile now......

what did floyd do exactly to take it away?

floyd was masterful, but lets be honest, shane stopped throwing....

          point blank.

shane couldnt pull the trigger after round 2. was gasping for air with his mouth wide open.

when you are 3 feet away from your opponent you can obviously see and feel your opponent is gassed and apply your aggression from there.

i though maybe shane hurt that right hand after that seeing as he rarely threw it much after that.

when have you ever seen an elite athlete gas out so bad after 3 rounds???

hopkins is 45 and had more stamina than that.

mosley is physically done and should retire, or move up to 154, because 147 is not functionally possible for him anymore.

like i said, floyd dominated, was excellent, but when have you ever seen mosley or any elite athlete that tired and done so early in a fight?

there is a reason for it, it wasnt because floyd took his punches away in round 3, if by round 9 he stopped throwing i would agree with you

I want to respond to this article and make a few statements. First, of course Mayweather's legs are not the same as they were at this higher weight. That's to be expected. But if you look at his last few fights (Baldomir, Hatton, De La Hoya, Marquez & Judah), Mayweather selects when to use his legs and when not to. Its apart of his ring IQ. Mayweather didn't use his legs at all against Judah and at that point he was 29 but came right back and used a lot of movement against Hatton at age 30 so the whole notion that his legs are gone because he didn't use them against Mosley is a moot point to me.
Also, I have noticed from reading blogs on websites that the sentiment among boxing fans has changed from earlier in the year. I am seeing less and less support for Pacquiao refusing drug testing. I think boxing fans are becoming acutely aware that there is no good reason not to have the best testing available not matter the reason why you are being asked to take drug test. I have stayed away from the whole PEDs thing but I feel inclined to address it.
First of all I always found it hard to believe that Manny was on anything but after the last few months my mind has slowly changed. It changed after the different reasons Pac gave for not wanting to take. His reasons ranged from fear of needles, to the blood drawn will make him week. He even suggested recently that the testing will have a different effect on Mayweather since he is bigger. My problem is why doesn't all these things effect the Olympic competitors who have to go through the same testing?
Surely these guys don't have to have 24 days to recover from testing and knowing that I've had my blood taken and played in a single elimination tournament in one day (4 hard bball games) and I had no ill effects from it.
Lets look at the facts here Pac-Man has put on approximately 17 lbs (13%) of pure muscle in 2 years. During this time he has maintained his speed, stamina and seemly has increased power. Since moving up in his last 5 fights Pacquiao has stopped ALL but one opponent (80%). In his 5 fights before moving up he went the distance with 3 out of the 5 guys. Now lets look at other guys who have moved up in weight and compare. I'd like to look at Shane Mosley, Floyd Mayweather, Diego Corrales. All three men were very hard punchers in the lower weight division and I'd say that Diego Corrales was considered a murderous puncher at 130. Each guy had knock out ratios above 70% at the lower weight. Shane moves up and in his last 14 fights his knock out ratio is 21%. Floyd has had 2 knock outs in his last 8 fights (25%) and the one fight Chico had at 147 he looked slow, soft and had no power against Clottey. So these guys moved up and KO percentage significantly fell off but Pac-Man moves up and his knockout rate increases? I don't know for sure if Pac is on anything but like the old saying if there is smoke then there is fire!

EVERY fight (With exception to Diaz and De La Hoya) Manny gets
tag flush on the kisser. I am confident Floyd would put Manny on
his ass if not clean out. Manny's a very good fighter but until
I see him in the ring with somebody like Floyd Mayweather Jr
or maybe even Mosley, I don't know what he can really do.
i agree, i think pac is a tremendous warrior, but i think his height and frame are a disasterous disadvantage, i think floyd gets manny out...

It should have been done last march 13 but floyd hide behind his new found excuse to duck a fight.

Why are you still making excuses? He couldn't pull because he was scared to get caught with that counter. I understand that he is your #2 guy but you need to man-up like Mosely did and admit that Floyd is and always was the better fighter. I'm serious about this because guys like you talk much trash leading up to the fight, then afterward you got all these excuses. Man-up!
