Pac drew 700K with a nobody....his PPV numbers are just fine. Him and floyd could break 3 million, maybe 4 million. Pac and Floyd are by far the most entertaining on 24/7.......

in saying that......Pac and arum are delusional if they think they can demand 50% if this fight does > 2 million PPV buys.....even more delusional are Pac fans who think demanding greater than 50% with numbers like that behind you is a "duck"....plain ignorance of what purse split negotiations are based on.

Come on, Clottey had a lil name going for him after the Cotto
fight AND the hype behind the Dallas stadium played a part too.
Who even knows if Pac would have done 700K without them two

First of all Shane went to Roach and the press before the Berto fight and BEGGED Manny for a fight but Manny wanted absolutely no part of him and it is well documented all over the internet. You seem a bit delusional when comparing Pac to Floyd. Why not just call it like it is "Floyd is a far bigger draw than Manny" period, point blank and that's what it is. Some will say well Floyd had Shane but what about when Manny had Cotto. I would say that Cotto has a much bigger following than Shane does but May/Marquez almost out sold Pac/Cotto so just be a good sport and tell it like it is. Floyd is the man in boxing.

why would roach/pac sign with shane if the FIGHT was suppose to be with floyd??? bottom line, shane wanted BOTH floyd & manny.... i never once denied floyd PPV numbers, but since when did pac/cotto do LESS than floyd/jmm???? from my memory, pac/cotto surpassed floyd/jmm in PPV numbers. check your stats kid.

dont also forget, cotto's PPV draw was taking a hit after a margarito loss and a close clottey win.... undefeated cotto unquestionable had more draw than current cotto... shane is coming off of one of his biggest victories.

Nobody told Pacquiao to find a no name nobody like Clottey! Pacquiao and Bob Arum brought this on themselves. The public was not asking for a fight with Clottey but they signed that **** anyway 2 days after negotiations broke down. Pacquiao made his choice in Clottey now he is paying for it.

back after about 2 years and take the spot light from him? After
the Mosley fight, if Floyd is victorious, then he will be considered
the best P4P fighter in the sport again without fighting Pac because
Mosley is the #1 at WW and the PPV#'s may be off the meter. Makes
perfect sense to me, considering Pac NEVER beat Floyd for the title.

You will always lose the live gate/PPV revenue/total revenue argument. You have to pick something else. Such as "good for the sport" or " FMJ needs it for his legacy".

You have bought into Mosley's spin-machine. From Mosley's mouth, he said that he wanted Floyd or Pac because he wanted the "fights that bring the most money".

Just like PBF also. If PBF wants to clean up his sports, why did he have to wait for a Pac fight? Why not against Marquez?

As far as defining a career, like any other boxers, the next fight is always a defining career but its only when a boxer retire that you define his career, not while his still active.

Pac said he has 3 more fights. Let say Pac fights PBF next and beat him, then wins a 2nd fight against another ranked fighter. Tim Bradley suddenly becomes a top 5 P4P, and a mega draw, fans will want to see a Pac-Bradley fight. Then it will be said again just like Mayweather, Pac fighting Bradley will define his career.

Let me put it as simply as possible....

If Pac leaves the sport of boxing having never fought Mayweather and having never taken blood test to prove he is clean.... He will always be remembered as a fighter suspect of being dirty (if that still doesnt make sense to you......save this post for about 10 - 20 years because it will be more clear to you then)

Pacquiao is a huge draw, but Floyd is the king in the USA. USA PPV Floyd wins I think. Pacquiao is selling his fights based on quality, he doesn't talk at all. Floyds talks so much up that people want to see him lose so badly they tune in.

I'd give it 60/40 to Floyd, only if he surpasses 1.6 mill against Shane.

Pacquiao had been headlining ppv for years at 126-130 while Floyd was still fighting on regular hbo. At a time when the only 2ppv headlining fighters below welterweight in the world were prince naseem hamed and Pacquiao. And Pacquiao's ppv numbers at those weights outsold every Mayweather ppv pre-delahoya.
