The cutman didn't cost Pavlik.True enough the cutman wasn't experienced. If you manage the middleweight champ don't you get the best corner you can for him? That falls on Kelly's manager,Jack and Kelly's dad.And don't forget Martinez. If Pavlik wasn't so one dimensional Martinez wouldn't have been able to hit him and cut him.Anyone want to bet Kelly will get another staph infection and avoid Williams for another couple of years?

So in other words, if Martinez didn't hit him so much he could have won.

I don't think it's as far out of line as your making it out to be. Kelly was turning the fight around until that second cut. Sergio did a great job but it's possible that with a more experienced cut man, he could have done a better job stopping the bleeding and Kelly might have been able to win a few of the last rounds.

Blaming it solely on the cut man is very ****** but having a more experienced cut man could have made the fight a bit closer.

Let's keep in mind that Kelly was not the one saying this....

I personal thought martinez was winning and would have won even without the cuts.

Excuses, excuses. When Pavlik lost to Hopkins it was because Pavlik wasnt 100%, now that pavlik lost to Martinez it was because of the cutman. Get the **** outta here.

I knew people were going to blame his cut man.

Martinez was the better boxer on Saturday and outboxed Pavlik before and after the cuts.

i think i could do a better job as a cutman and trainer (simultaneously)

i forget what fight i was watching recently but the fighter had some pretty bad cuts. the cutman stayed on the ring apron, reaching over the side of the fighter instead of getting INSIDE of the ring where he could work on the fighter with more ease - the trainer just stayed infront of the fighter. how ***in ******, as a trainer, you could be talking to your guy from the side and let the cutman work his magic

                    /of random rant
