Some people have taken over the internet with trolling, flaming, boycotts, petitions, and PhotoShopped pictures.

I was very surprised to see that the Filipino President issued a statement.

I do not imagine that Barack ***** would respond to a joke by a Brazilian comedian.

Americans make jokes about the French every day. I'm not aware of the French President or Prime Minister issuing an official statement.

I know this forum is supposed to be about boxing but how do so many threads on this site turn into bashing of one's culture. You would think this is an isolated case here on this site but it's apparent even with Carolla's statements.

Carolla and many people who post here dont just critisize Pacquaio as a boxer but they turn negative comments towards a whole race. Yes I understand there are those "*******s" who follow the sport blind, but they are not a fair representation of the Filipino people.

I see posts turn into an emphasis on prostitution, ***uality, poverty, etc. in the philippines in order to discredit Pacquiao's success. Coming from one ignorant poster to another is one thing, but when you have a media personality put down an entire country it's really dispecable.

I dont know any other boxer who's race was as disrespected as Pacquiao's due to his success. The comments I see or hear are similar to those which you would think you'd only see when our world was ignorant and there was no such thing as civil rights. Which other top boxers have had their country or people disprespected due to a ever so humble man's success?

Carolla and many posters attack the filipino culture by talking about prostitution and ***uality, and think all we have to be proud of is Manny Pacquiao. What's sad is what we do have as a culture to be proud of is something which many people in our world do not appreciate.

As a Filipino I am proud of Pacquiao's success, but part of me cant wait for his retirement because the insults towards my culture just arent worth it.

I apologize for the lengthy rant, but I had to get it off my chest.
You still taking what that comedian said seriously? Can't either take seriously what somebody else types cause everybody is a tough guy when you are on the Internet. Plus you have to consider also the incomming from the Pac fans that at time is just abusive even when you are not even talking to them.

It is a two way street so it goes both ways. The more success the more attention. Racism is Ignorance, I don't care about ignorant ppl and what they think.

well I get the whole comedian thing but listening to it seemed more spiteful than humourous

just MO but yeah I can see why Pinoy/Pinays would be upset.

Everyone in America is still laughing at Adam Carolla's comments.

I had a random dude stop me on the street a couple days ago asking me if I had heard what Adam Carolla did to you guys. He was crying from laughter.

When you’re a public figure, you should expect Comedians to make fun of you; they're not supposed to be racially sensitive. I have personally never said a single racial comment about Pacquiao or PI.

That being said I recently was being called a "crack selling ******" by a pacfan, for disagreeing with him. I'm not black, but it's wrong and offensive, people need to discuss things intellectually, enough with the illogical obsession and hate. If you can’t defend your fighter without ending up talking a lot of **** then please just shut the **** up.
