I just find it incongruous that 50K military died, and 1 million civvies.

a million civs didn't get shot.
My apologies... I get sooo frustrated with the amount of uneducated people here...

To answer your question.... In every war,,,,the number of civilian casualties are usually much greater than actual military numbers....

To give a present example, Iraqi military casualties were in the tens of thouseand while Iraqi cilivians in some accounts have been in the hundreds of thousands...

I view the 20th/21st century wars that way because of advanced munitions/bombs. i guess I didn't view the pre-bomb era in the same light.

Yeah thats what kills me.... Most of my boys are black and hispanic and they feel the same way as me toward Mayweather....

You have some Mayweather fans here acting like Pinoys are responsible for slavery or some **** like that....

And, to top it off,,,, some people here are trying to say that Pinoys never suffered at the hands of racist policies,,,which couldnt be further from the truth...

I know right? He was asked at the start of the thread to drop knowledge, and what he say?

"Do it your ****** self, i don't gotta tell you ****, blah, blah, blah".

Someone comes in here dropping knowledge and he runs jumping on dudes tip as if he contributed to this discussion in a positive manner.

black sodiers often do feel that way and for good reason. ive also read of instances of the us using apache scouts to fight for them too. this made the war especially bloddy because the apache were just as good at the gureilla tactics the pinoys were uisng. it would have been interesting to see how these men felt fighitng for a people who had just destroyed their way of life and their people just years b4.
