But my original post was not geared towards a comparison. It's about an athlete's success leading to racist remarks. Not racist agendas or a conglomerate agenda towards filipinos.
The athlete's success did not lead to racist remarks.

Floyd reired. Pac moved to #1 p4p. He then showed that he absolutely deserved that p4p slot. He got endorsements. Became a media darling. All the commentators loved him.

Floyd comes back. Floyd saya "let's take drug tests". pac balks. Ruh-Roh.

That is when the tide changed a bit. And what turned many people off was the groupthink of Pac fans and their assault on any intelligent dissent.

You can't present any type of "pac should take the test" argument without being called gay, ******, getting red K, or whatever the equivalent is on whatever forum you are on.

Karceno, bless his goofy heart, is being called the n-word daily.

Human beings are tribal by nature are very nationalistic. We are just talking about boxing here. What did the african community ever do to the filipino community in terms of racism historically?

NOTHING. Yet filipinos are being racist on a internet forum because of a boxer. You get the picture? Human beings are just built that way. No need for a long history of racial atrocities to be racist or suffer racism in this day & age.

All it takes is a computer & internet connection. See mexicans vs puerto ricans boxing rivalry, see mexicans vs pacquiao rivalry, see the USA vs easter european boxing rivalry.

        You dont need prerequisites.
u do realize ur wrong. whatever u say no matter what u say, race and racial divisions were created in the early modern period. it has continued to this day. but it has not been around as long as ppl think. its a concept invented in the early modern times as a means to justfy why eurpoeans should rule. in, lest say, the classincal era, there was very little racism. for instance, in rome, most of the roman citiznes were white. but there were a whole lot of citizens that werent, both white, asian, african, etc. and guess what??they were all either non-citizens or ****** with the same status. not based on raced not based on how they looked but based on their lesser status in society. so a black slave had the same status as a white slave who was of roman or greco descent regardless of their race. thats a fact. look it up. also u night want to look up alexander the great's legendary spread of helenism. all interesting and all show how race was not as big in the past as it is now

You're exactly right. Come to think of it, ancient Egypt, which in my opinion fathered modern society; was open to people of all races and ethic backgrounds. In fact, even the ***s, who were enslaved for sometime could attain any title or position in Egypt short of Pharaoh.

Even the Native Americans had no sense of race when the Europeans stumbled upon America.

Ok...what will I get if I educate you???

Philippine military deaths are estimated at 20,000 with 16,000 actually counted, while civilian deaths numbered between 250,000 and 1,000,000 Filipinos.[8] These numbers take into account those killed by war, malnutrition, and a cholera epidemic that raged during the war
Smallman-Raynor, Matthew; Andrew D Cliff (January 1998), "The Philippines Insurrection and the 1902–4 cholera epidemic: Part I — Epidemiological diffusion processes in war", Journal of Historical Geography 24 (1): 69–89, doi:10.1006/jhge.1997.0077

ordered by General Jacob Hurd Smith, who reportedly ordered his men to kill everyone over ten years old. To his credit, Major Littleton Waller countermanded it to his own men.

And there is so much more...

Have you ever read the book "white man's burden"???

That was basically about racism policies in the Philippines.

                    Are you implying causation?

Because Cholera was killing people back then anyway.
