good post ts....let me just add that pac has always been a 2 handed fighter even pre barrera, he was a good inside fighter too back then,( of course rightfully not doing so now vs bigger guys ) but he was wild and ****y.....the biggest thing about pac now is hes a way more disciplined fighter than ever, but still manages to be exciting!.....

We're not allowed to question Manny's resume on these boards.

innocent until proven guilty. the fact that there are so many juicing threads and article means pac is gonna win his defamation suit

Pac is a couple pounds heavier in the ring than he was at 130 a couple years ago. To me it shows proof that draining yourself 17 pounds to make weight hurts your performance more than it does roids.
You notice they don't even say roids any more, it's PEDs. Kinda like how "Global Warming" changed to "Climate Change" after an extremely cold winter.

While watching these fights I noticed something about Manny. He's always been able to land punches, but at 130 and below he'd dwell on the inside and lean back instead of moving out of harms way. At 135 and up his speed has been a tremendous asset, but he's no longer lingering on the inside after he punches, he's moving backwards or lateral preventing him from catching the same shots he did against Marquez and others. Steroid accusations are rampant, but could he have just become a smarter fighter? It's only my opinion, but he doesn't seem faster, only better. Those who say his power has increased, I don't see that either. It's much easier to put punches together and land harder shots when you aren't eating leather yourself. Opinions in either direction are fine, I'd only ask that you back it up with logic. So?
if you ask me, it makes a lot of sense. good work! greened*

He doesn't stay in as much, and I keep telling people Pacquiao's defense has improved. You may land all you want but it isn't gonna be easy because he'll have you throwing punches in an uncomfortable position. Although he's improved alot, I was very impressed with the opposition he beat considering he only had a 1-2. He was way too dependent on that straight left hand. Now he's moving his head alot more, moving in and out; side to side. Also has that right hook going for him. Not that the right hook was bad, I started seeing him use it alot more in the rematch against Erik Morales but it wasn't anything special, now he's dropping mother fuckers with that ****. His overall speed is still the same, punching power has increased.Last edited by Doctor_Tenma; 03-06-2010, 12:08 PM.
