Faulty comparison. It assumes Floyd produces quality fights the way Prince produces quality music.

Floyd is a dud inside the ring.
See where you're coming from but I meant that he always delivers a win. I don't like watching his fights either.

Personality and arrogance has nothing to do with someones success in this business. The Promoter is the main reason why some succeeds and some dont. I am getting out of the box here, look at Floyd, ODH, and Pacman, they all have different personalities, if these three were handled by other promoter other than TOP Rank, they will not be so successfull as they are right now. These three made names because of Top Rank and Arum, because Arum do spent money to promote his fighters. Arum (a promoter with clout) is good in exposing his fighters to any kind or types of communication, whether on TV or newspaper, etc. BUT his best medium of exposure is his MOUTH. When Arum speaks to reporters, everybody listen. I am sure you know that most of the words coming out of Arum's mouth are most likely not all true, but the reporters print it or report anyway, because he is Arum. How often do you see other promoters do that. Arum can get away with anything. He can sell anything. The Pacquiao-Cotto fight is one of them. ON Cotto-Clottey fight, most believed that Clottey won that fight over Cotto ( I do too) , nevertheless, PPV sales for Pac-Cotto were in excess of 1.4 million buys.

Top Rank and Arum spend money on promoting their boxers? TR and Arum only care about Manny. You might not think personality has anything to do with being successful in sports, but personality can help make your career if you know what you're doing.

Why did Mayweather leave Top Rank if the company is so good at marketing and promoting boxers? Mayweather made more money in one fight than he did in his entire career with Arum. Mayweather became a bigger star, household name, and made more money after he left Bob "Snake" Arum. Being signed to a promotional company is only good when you are an up an coming boxer or you are not a household name like Manny, Mayweather, DLH, etc.

Also when Shane pulled that **** in the ring at the end of Floyd/JMM all of a sudden he was the talk of the town for like weeks. SSM's now got a big fight coming up few could give a **** less about.

calliloyd counters by bringing up floyd's ppv numbers against hatton and delahoya. but when you look closer they're virtually indistinguishable against pacquiao.

If mayweather had such a big fanbase why did his fights against judah and baldomir which he was the clear a-side and had to carry on his back, and enjoyed the same #1p4p status outsold in ppv buys by the pacquiao-morales fights 3 divisions lower.
I literally hate your gutz. Not because of this post but because of all your post. You are a bias irrational ******

Roger Huerta was on the cover of sports illustrated. an honor that hasnt been bestowed upon any fighter since Mike Tyson. Did that give him the biggest fanbase of any UFC fighter???? No it did not.

It's quite clear that roy jones jr still enjoys the biggest fanbase of any active african american fighter despite his slippage.
Not to mention the fact that you have been told that the Floyd on the chicken bucket was racially offensive and you continue to promote that image. I can't believe your that fuccin ignorant it truly cast a light on how the Asian community views us.
