calliloyd counters by bringing up floyd's ppv numbers against hatton and delahoya. but when you look closer they're virtually indistinguishable against pacquiao.

If mayweather had such a big fanbase why did his fights against judah and baldomir which he was the clear a-side and had to carry on his back, and enjoyed the same #1p4p status outsold in ppv buys by the pacquiao-morales fights 3 divisions lower.
You might have a point if it wasn't so clear that Floyd has the biggest fanbase of any black American fighting in the sport today. Floyd's fame is throughout all of American society, you can find him in New York Times, Washington Post, on Broadcast TV, cable TV, Fox News, ESPN, everywhere. No other black fighter has exposure, sales, or fame like him as of right now. That is a fact. So you can take your Pac nuthugging elsewhere.

so the ******* thing keeps floyd in the limelight. Monica lewinsky was famous and had plenty of exposure. did that help her sell any books???

Roger Huerta was on the cover of sports illustrated. an honor that hasnt been bestowed upon any fighter since Mike Tyson. Did that give him the biggest fanbase of any UFC fighter???? No it did not.

It's quite clear that roy jones jr still enjoys the biggest fanbase of any active african american fighter despite his slippage.

          hatton- pac = 800k buys.

With Hatton especially the numbers difference is virtually indistinguishable.

Both Pac and floyd enjoyed the honor and luxury of being the holy grail against Hatton but you cant sit here and tell me that either were the a-side promotionwise against Hatton.

Also if Mayweather is such a draw then it must be an anomaly as to why as the #1 p4p fighter in the world his fights against judah and baldomir were outsold in ppv buys by the pacquiao-morales fights.
Thank you for making my point for me. And lets see if Pacquiao makes 40 million fighting Clottey. You look ****** claiming that these big PPV had nothing to do with Mayweather being a part of them.

when did i ever claim that floyd had nothing to do with those numbers??? It does NOT equate to floyd having a big fanbase.

I dont recall even 1 fan with a sign rooting for floyd at any of those fights.

At the marquez-mayweather weighin d.l. hughley tried to come up with a chant to cheer floyd but the room went silent.

please tell me where this fanbase is.

It's Mayweather's hustle to sell the fight that brings in alot of interest. He's all over the place and that goes into his drawing power. It ain't only about Mayweather having fans or people who'd pay to see him lose, what about people who just want to see a good fight? In my opinion, that gets overlooked.

Because entire premise of this thread is FANBASE. you know i've never said anything about floyd's drawing power. I only ever argue that pacquiao has more drawing power.

But to say floyd has the biggest fanbase of any african american fighter because he's an ******* is complete bull****. Dude couldnt even sell out his hometown of grand rapids michigan.

Youre argument would make sense if floyd wasnt who he was long before he became what he is today. Floyd was a hall of fame fighter the moment he left 135, all this other nonsense started when getting fights at 140 proved to be very difficult, he basically whored himself to make money and it worked.

Want proof it worked? Look at youre avatar.

Lewinsky was not a distinguished politician with many accomplishments before she got caught in the scandal.

Huerta was not a 10 year veteran in the sport, with multiple championships to his name before that cover.

Lets be real ShadyFizzle, you spend more time discussing floyd then fans like me do. You are in every floyd thread. When you see floyd, you click, you read, you post.

Now fans like me who have defended him endlessly, that erractic behavoir is expected, but for someone who hates him, someone who feels he has nothing to offer the sport, someone who is such a *****, a chiken etc,

                  you

                  1. Have him in youre avatar
                  2. Talk about him literally everyday (need i look at youre post history?)
                  3. Discuss anything related to him, particularly the negative, literally everyday
                  4. YOU HAVE HIM IN YOURE AVATAR

Like i said, i am no better, i have spent 6 years discussing him in various ways angles, sometimes i agree with him, someitmes i dont, but i am his fan. You? For all the disgust you have for him, you have helped support him, you put his name out, everytime you post, you promote his image.

This is how he gets his PPVs. You inadvertantly help him and he knows that. As childish as floyd acts and as ******ed as some of his statements, this virtual stockholm syndrome among his haters is what keeps him relevant, well played mate.

Yeah, that was early in his career.

                      Exactly,

Now El Jesus, not to start some ****. Just be honest with me (Because I remember this clearly)

Who was the most talked about boxer during Mayweather's 2 year layoff? The most talked about here on Boxingscene.
