I think there was nothing Miguel could do that would change the outcome of the fight.

But the early losses made Pac what he is today. Miguel will be greater after this. He has not lost a single speck of hunger.

Can't wait to see him again

I have been a die hard Cotto fan for a long time, and i think he needs a loooong rest, fire everybody, get a new trainer, drop the macho bull**** attitude and learn how to listen to a really good trainer, and knock it off with the underwater mittwork, and start really busting his ass. His trainer should smack him around with those mitts and piss him off!

He needs to reinvent himself, cuz his present style has too many flaws. He's his own trainer, which amounts to what lawyers say, those that represent themsleves in court have fools for lawyers....same applies in boxing. Drop your team and family from you corner , get a really good trainer and open up you mind and learn how to take advice you stubborn ass!

Maybe some reconstructive surgery on the nose and eye cut from the Clottey fight, if that cut opens, he loses. Smarten up, Cotto! I'll alway be your loyal fan, but you gotta change your ways. You been getting beaten even in your wins. Granted they were tough opponents, but you should have done much better with a good trainer and plan. And plan B. The best of luck to you my fav fighter!

And hey, there's no shame in losing to Manny. He's from another planet. I'm convinced he's not of this earth...lol.
      Excellent and unbiased post...

Boricuas should pick you as the leader of the Cartel!!!

I'm glad he has the desire to return, the desire to learn from what happened that night.

He made boneheaded decisions from the start. One was taking a catchweight after holding firm that he only fights @ 47...Dont go messing around with your weight when youve spent so much time maturing into it..1lb or not i just dont agree with it...Not saying it was the cause of anything though.

Obviously the other was keeping his inexperienced corner...Didnt M. Stewart offer his services?

Anyways much luck to him though...
*** Stewert...he doesn't even like Cotto. He trashed talked him in the Clottey fight. i would'a either *****-slapped him or told him to stfu during the interview after the fight.

Yeap, i was so glad to hear he was thrill on fighting again as fast as posible.
am i the only one that thinks thats a bad idea.. cotto has been fighting at a brutal pace with judah, mosley, margarito, clottey and pacquaio which have all been wars

cotto needs a long break because all those fights take a toll on your body, he needs to take atleast 1 year off and 2 or 3 tune ups... but knowing cotto this guy will probaly be back in 4 months training and preparing for a fight.. and after the tune up he will want to fight a elite fighter right away like mosley, berto, or pacquiao rematch.. and thats not a good idea

              Just watch.

Miguel never made any excuses as to why he lost to Margarito. He never accused of him of being dirty until he was caught red handed for cheating. You need to accept this and move on, Margaritos career is toast and he doesn't deserve another penny from the sport. What he deserves is a ***ing prison sentence.

Thank you for the great compliment peyk peyk! But I'm just a member among members...not looking for any leadership positions at this time...lol. I've been a boss or manager at a few jobs and didn't like it.

I prefer to be a worker among workers kinda mentallity. Thanks again anyway! Green k for you when i reload!

Everyone knows that Cotto is respecful and gives credit where credit is due. He has never stated that Margarito used plaster in their fight, he has only assumed the possibility. Unlike many other fighters, Cotto is a true sportsman. So get back into your little hole and STFU.

I agree with that. If Cotto had stuck to a more disciplined fight plan and boxed exclusivley I think it would have gone to the cards and been a lot closer. I'm not sure if he would have won, but it definatley would have been very competitive.

Hope to see Miguel back in the ring and fighting the best again soon.
