I talked to Miguels Cousin Earlier today, and said Miguel is pissed at himself, for going toe - toe with Pac. He told me ,Miguel was sayin that when he was boxing Pacquiao, he was winning easy does rounds, but when he decided to go all macho and match punch per punch he made a mistake.


He said Cotto is really angry and eager to heal fast so he can get in the ring as fast as posibble.

From what he told me, the atmosphere wasnt like when Cotto lost to margo that everyody was down and dissapointed, he said that Cotto is really eager to go and kick ass. He is very angry at himself, for choosing the wrong game plan. Cotto is mad and pissed and not dissapointed nor discourage, he looks like a man on a mission. Miguel also said he lost to a great one last saturday, so he will leave it at that.

lol yeah Cotto was really owning Pacquiao for that one whole round, which was still really close. Cotto is an idiot if he thinks he could have boxed and won. Pacquiao is better in every way

He was not boxing as well as he would like to think....

He won round one by mostly not boxing. He was mostly flat footed.

He only began to ru..I mean box around round 6. He only won two rounds at the most doing that.

Nothing work for Cotto that night...Nothing!

I like what I am hearing. I made the same thread Ch@mp. Listen, ask Cotto's cousin to ask Cotto what he weighed in the fight because he looked 150.

I can almost guarantee he won't disclose that information as long as he still in top rank. It's a leaverage in case fighting against mayweather b/c floyd did the same thing

That's right Champ he fought wrong he had to dictate the tempo of the fight and outbox Manny like JMM did. If you see JMM - Pac II when the tempo of the fight was slow JMM was beating Pac when he traded punches he was Knock down.

One thing I've noticed about Pacquiao--you cannot beat him in a war of attrition. He's an angle guy. Because of his strong legs--he can just move to the side and just start throw combinations. To beat him you got to pot shot him to a UD.

Cotto can only fight two ways! flat footed and face 1st or run. Good thing is he does both during a tough bout. Bad thing is he does each out of necessity, i.e. he ****s face 1st and flatfooted early when he feels strong but the minute he hits the wall in the 5th or 6th, he gets on that bicicleta rapido!

His career is winding down real soon and I really hope so for his sake. It would be unfortunate for him to be the PR version of Gatti!

cotto got knocked down those 2 times for 1 reason and one reason only..the same reason hatton got knocked down and ko'd...trying to prove he was the bigger man..emotions let to his defeat...cotto never fights like that..he got frustrated and pissed and got caught with his chin in the air

imo he thought he was the bigger guy and that alone he'd be able to hurt pacquiao with each shot, instead of realzing the fighter he had infront of him.

he should have fought smarter and choose to break pac down instead of get him out of there.

Cotto would be very unwise to come back fighting the way he is. I have been a die hard Cotto fan for a long time, and i think he needs a loooong rest, fire everybody, get a new trainer, drop the macho bull**** attitude and learn how to listen to a really good trainer, and knock it off with the underwater mittwork, and start really busting his ass. His trainer should smack him around with those mitts and piss him off!

He needs to reinvent himself, cuz his present style has too many flaws. He's his own trainer, which amounts to what lawyers say, those that represent themsleves in court have fools for lawyers....same applies in boxing. Drop your team and family from you corner , get a really good trainer and open up you mind and learn how to take advice you stubborn ass!

Maybe some reconstructive surgery on the nose and eye cut from the Clottey fight, if that cut opens, he loses. Smarten up, Cotto! I'll alway be your loyal fan, but you gotta change your ways. You been getting beaten even in your wins. Granted they were tough opponents, but you should have done much better with a good trainer and plan. And plan B. The best of luck to you my fav fighter!

And hey, there's no shame in losing to Manny. He's from another planet. I'm convinced he's not of this earth...lol.
