Mayweather-Pacquiao Has To Be Made, Says Schaefer

To be honest, I wish that Floyd Mayweather would fight Paul Williams at 154 even if it wasn't for a title. But the thing with that is, that if Williams won it wouldn't do as much harm as a loss to Pacquiao would. Because even though Pacquiao is a better fighter P4P he is a lot smaller than Paul Williams is and even naturally smaller than Floyd. If Mayweather were to lose to Pacquiao, that would make him look really overrated because of Pacquiao's size. That is why the JMM-Mayweather fight peaked my interest because I didn't view that fight as a mismatch like a lot of other people did and it was a chance for JMM to defy the odds and make history. But when JMM looked horrible against Floyd it caused me to lose interest in a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.
However, after seeing Pacquiao destroy Cotto last night the way he did makes me think that he would do a lot better against Floyd than JMM did and possibly beat him. So I want to see a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight if the wheels are gonna be in motion to get the fight done. Mayweather would be in a lot more trouble at times against Pacquiao I believe because Pacquiao's foot work is insane even if it is still a little bit sloppy at times. And Manny throws punches from all angles just like Steward said, so Floyd is bound to get hit with something he doesn't see no matter how good his defense is. And after Pacquiao took Cotto's best shots, I doubt very much Mayweather could land anything to deter him. He may keep him honest. But Pacquiao's chin is a lot better at these higher weights as we saw of how JMM rocked him at 130. Cotto I think landed a few punches that were even flusher than that and Pacquiao just took them like they were nothing most of the time.

Pacquiao vs. Mayweather? Not Any Time Soon
Pacquiao vs. Mayweather? I don't see it happening anytime soon. You see Mayweather is extremely money oriented. He's going to demand more money than Pacquiao. At this moment he doesn't have a stance for that argument. I think Floyd has the skills to squeak out a decision against Pac but at the same time I think he is concerned after watching the Cotto fight. A Mosely fight is more realistic for Pac if Mosely wins against Berto. I just hope Floyd will understand the magnitude of this fight and take a 50-50.

For the haters who don't know, the Pac/Hatton fight almost never happened because of Pacquaio's unjustified demands. It happened because Arum decided to give Pac an extra $1 million from his own pocket. The Cotto fight almost never happened because Pac was insisting that Cotto come down to 143. Cotto refused and was prepared to walk away when Pac relented. Does this sound like a guy who is easy to deal with?
Pacquiao probably gets told a 7 seven figure fee, he agrees, signs the deal, gets told when and where and then just trains. Everything else is down to his promotional company. Boxers usually aren't trained negotiators, if they were they wouldn't hire people to represent them.

see Manny's face? And wasn't homie bleeding out of his ears?
Manny is mos def dangerous but has no defense. Counter punchers
will always give Manny problems. Cotto is not consistent and is easily
discouraged in tough situations. I don't think for a second that Floyd
would get exposed by Manny but I do beleive that Manny would force
Floyd to do more than pot shot all night.
