Shane + ****m Richardson is a great combination. If only Shane had fought 1 or 2 more times this year I think he'd really be honed to a sharp edge.

The fact that he has been off so long though makes me think this will be a very close fight.

Mosley is a LOT past his prime, but he is still good enough to beat Berto.

As a lightweight, Mosley was little short of amazing, loads of powerful combinations, a punch like a sledge hammer, speed like a rocket, and a chin like granite.

Undoubtedly, for me anyway, the best lightweight of the past 20 years.

in berto's last 2 fights, it only shows that berto has problems with southpaws. but berto is not just a brawler, he can also be a technical fighter (he is like a bigger version is tim bradley). he can slug it out and he can also box beautifully. and mosley had problems with good technical boxers, like vernon forrest, winky wright, and miguel cotto.

So berto has a very good chance here--but a KO win is very unlikely.

Don't exactly know what you mean by "abuse"? The facts were well publicized and the Boxing Commission, as far as I know, accepted Mosley's account of his actions and reasons.

Was he penalized in any way? I can't exactly recall, but I don't think he was. He has always seemed a "straight-up" sportsman, with an excellent personal reputation, in his public persona at any rate.

I'm open to correction, if anyone knows any more than this.

That had nothing to do with overconfidence. He was outspeeding his opponent, and left himself open for a very pretty short left hook/uppercut. It didn't even seem to have much power in it.

When does "confidence" pass the red line into "overconfidence".

                  Very difficult to know.

This would be a "stay-busy" fight for Mosley. Mayweather's next.
