Except, Oscar fought Pacquiao, Forbes (tune up like Marquez we'll give him a pass), Mayweather, Mayorga, Hopkins. He fought 3 top P4P fighters (Hopkins was either 1 or 2 when oscar fought him), a tune up and arguably the top Jr. MW champion at the time.

If you go back even further its Sturm, Mosley, Campas, Vargas..

Hopkins has fought Pavlik, Calzaghe, Wright, Taylorx2

Mayweather isn't even comparable, im sure your familiar but theres Marquez (tune up gets a pass shouldn't have been a PPV but w/e), Hatton, Oscar, Baldomir, Judah if you go back further its Mitchell, Gatti...

Argueably only one of those represented a real challenge and that was Oscar, who as we know was at the tail end of his career. So even if Oscar and Bernard dictate who they fight, they still fight the very best
yes but didnt they fight all those big names at the tail end of their career... pbf is only 32 and is prime

You don't want to get me going beyond one liners.

I'll go hardcore on you like RA did to Floyd.

            Nothing but the truth.

So, my previous statement still stands, especially seeing as how you're one of those, "boxing is a business" clowns.

Everything in life is business, even the birth and death aspects of it. Boxing is primarily a sport. Do you watch to see how much money a fighter makes, or what happens in the ring?

Big time fighters make the right fights happen. Its happened for over 100 years and will continue to be that way whether or not your favorite ***** steps inside the ring with the other bests of the division. I can go down a long list of present and past champions who didn't make excuses for not fighting the best.

Floyd is a businessman, we get it. Good for him and his family.

Doesn't make him at this stage of his career, great at anything in the ring except for making money.

Been a welter for practically 5 years now and Manny Pacquiao is the one fighting Miguel Cotto next weekend?

That tells you how confident Floyd is in his abilities to tangle with the best in his own division.

            Hes not.

and no you sappy lame, I don't hate Floyd Mayweather. I've said it time and time again he gets full credit for everything at 130 and 135.

But I'm not going to slobber his balls for what he did in the first half of his career. I'm not going to slam his nuts in my mouth like you cornballs because of what he did over 5 years ago.

Its 2009 and still hasn't faced the best of the division hes in. If you were a fan of the sport, you'd be ashamed at any of the bigger names avoiding fights and making excuses.

But you're more concerned with another mans pockets.

"but lets just wait and see".

How much longer should we wait?its already been over 4 years.

Where the **** was mosley, cotto, pwill, clottey and berto before he fought Oscar!!! clottey, berto, and pwill were still green and up and comers... Arum would not allow cotto to get into the ring and mosley was ****ing around up in 154... everyone on this planet would of taken the oscar fight over any of those guys and that goes for an undefeated Hatton as well.... he took two years off I believe to better his name with the mainstream which was obviuusly brilliant because at the time of his retirement... no one in the mainstream knew who any of these guys were and now cotton and ******* are starting to become household names!!

so no my friend, you try again!!
floyd is not a huge mega star or an "entertainer" like he claims hes an athlete and he was on dancing with the stars and wwf so some more people know him than before he retired because he was scared to fight cotto and there wasnt any more excuses to duck the top welters any more.....and shane was still fighting at 147 because cotto beat him there

I have stated in many other threads...."Pretty Boy" was one of the greatest things since the invention of the remote control.....but "Money May" is one of those things you wished backed up all the BS.....
So it's a case of forget what he has done in the past and ask what has he done for me lately?

I could honestly care less how much money they make, but we cant look past the fact that fights r made 99% if it makes business sense. am i right?

when floyd moved up to 147 he fought mitchell as a tuneup for judah. he then fought judah and baldy who were the best at WW than... other than margacheato there was no one else... i repeat no one else!!! he then landed the mega fight with oscar and then followed by hatton which were the two biggest fights out there for him... theres no way in hell anyone that is a professional fighter would of chosen cotto and marge over those two fights... can we at least agree upon that?? sure knowing what I know now about hatton and oscar, I would of chosen to see floyd fight cotto and marge but lets face it... they would of been horrible business decisions.... how can u turn down 40 million over lets say at best 20 million to fight the latter? u can't! those two fights made pbf a star with the mainstream... now that he can make a gazillion dollars fighting whoever he wants now being a star... i believe he should and will fight the guys everyone is dying to see him fight. lets just be patient and see what happens after cotton and ******* throw down!

why not take some time off when there r no attractive fighters to bank on and let them build their names up and fight them later on and make more money... i as a fan would of rather seen him fight them after hatton but lets face it... money wants money and if he waits a couple years for cotton to build up his name he could triple what he would make fighting him now rather than 3 years ago....
