Larry....People care because RA (well respected in the underground Hip Hop community) asked the QUESTIONS point blank to Floyd that EVERYONE has been trying/ dying to ask him. And since RA has no association or obligation to sports (in regards to journalism) he was free and able to ask those questions wihtout being criticized by network execs.

The majority of sane people will not take anything "negative" about Floyd and run with it.....but when Floyd goes on the radio/ tv/ chatrooms or whatever form of mass communication to the general public....and we hear/ read about the comments that he makes....ex. RA interview.....then yeah...its only FAIR that the public calls him out on the excessive BS that he goes around feeding everyone. I seem to notice that the only people that get offended or have the gall to speak out about Floyd getting talked about....are "Floyd Stans who stick up for him no matter the topic".....and there's a good 8-10 of them on this site alone....

The man was entitled to a tuneup after being off so long... but what am I talking about, he's FLOYD MAYWEATHER, the haters will always find something to ***** about no matter what happens..
        #1 - Nearing ATG status.....

#2 - No arguing that the man needed a tuneup after 2 years of vacation....but against a LW? Last I checked....Quintana, Collazo, Abregu (WWs).....were all available for a tuneup.....and since when does a tuneup cost $44.95? We're not tuning up a car here....

You try again.....all the above was when he was "Pretty Boy".....which is the Floyd we all remembered and loved....."Money" which is the Floyd we all know and hate...most of us anyway....has done what?

I have stated in many other threads...."Pretty Boy" was one of the greatest things since the invention of the remote control.....but "Money May" is one of those things you wished backed up all the BS.....

first off the fight would not of been near as big if he fought any of those guys and they are still contenders and have not reached gatekeeper status yet. JMM is a FHOF that a lot of people adore and love to see!

second if people are going to pay the money to see him fight then hell yeah make PPV... I go to work everyday as a CPA to feed my daughter and take care of her, not cuz I feel that the people in my city deserve to have their taxes done

How can you defend what he says? Floyd has no love for boxing or its fans.

He said it himself, he considers himself to BE boxing, if he says he loves boxing its only because he loves himself. He considers boxing a dead sport, thats how big his ego is. There no undermining his talent and skill but I don't know how any true boxing fan can continue to be a fan of his when he continually belittles the sport and continues to fight easy match ups and justify them.

People who defend him bring up fights from years and years ago which aren't even relevant anymore, I know your not one of these Larry but seriously. I can't see how your still a fan.

He is a prize fighter now!! He paid his dues and desrves to be able to fight anyone he wants... Yeah I like the Pretty Boy more than Money May but thats only because he fought more than twice a year....

Where the **** was mosley, cotto, pwill, clottey and berto before he fought Oscar!!! clottey, berto, and pwill were still green and up and comers... Arum would not allow cotto to get into the ring and mosley was ****ing around up in 154... everyone on this planet would of taken the oscar fight over any of those guys and that goes for an undefeated Hatton as well.... he took two years off I believe to better his name with the mainstream which was obviuusly brilliant because at the time of his retirement... no one in the mainstream knew who any of these guys were and now cotton and ******* are starting to become household names!!

so no my friend, you try again!!

                  1st -
If you need a tuneup fight....there's no shame in fighting a gatekeeper/ contender IN THE DIVISION YOU CAMPAIGN IN.....if he wanted to fight JMM...why not fight him at 135/140lbs? Can't make the weight...fight someone else....Marquez has losses, but yet chose to fight him....p4p #2 yes...but 2 division below WW. JMM is a FHOF agreed...but still best weight were at JRLW/LW.....If Floyd's best weight was at LW/JRWW.....why not fight at that weight? But HE feels that he is a WW....so go and fight another WW.

                  2nd -
Do you go around telling everyone that your the "the greatest CPA of our generation"? The greatest CPA of all time? Do you flash your CPA license/ notary book every chance you get? Doubt it...so no one cares that your a CPA or no one busts your balls about it....

ok to answer your first question, which I already did. there was more money in fighting JMM as a tuneup and I agree that JMM doesn't belong there but the man more than tripled his best payday by doing so.. Floyd has paid his dues and now he determines fights, not the other way around... oscar and bernard do this all the time!!!

and no I don't do so, but if I was in his situation I would be doing the same thing, so I can't hate...

Mosley (DLH, Winkyx2, toothache, Vargasx2, Collazo, Cotto, Mayorga, Margarito in that order)....Cotto (Malignaggi, Urkal, Judah, Mosley, Gomez, Margarito, Jennings, Clottey in that order)....P-Will (seriously?)....Clottey (High risk low reward fighter)....Berto (agreed very green...and IMO overrated) either were fighting each other or Floyd saw them as high risk low reward (P-Will....Berto...Clottey)

If Floyd wanted to become a Household name...then fine...become that....go on Dancing with the Satrs...be on WWE....go on Kimmel (Pac's on tonight)....but don't feed everyone BS about back to fight the best.....having this "hitlist".....back to give the fans what they deserve.....back because the sport of boxing missed him....blah blah blah...boxing was doing fine when he was Dancing....and boxing will be fine when he leaves....

And I need to try again why......
