Man, Manny has some PR team behind him. I am simply
amazed by how many people are counting Cotto out of
this fight. Miguel dropped Clottey, a bigger man with a jab
and scooped slammed homes like nothing AND he fought to
the 12th round with a big gash over his eye AND could
of possibly been hit with plaster. This kid has been battled
tested at 147 and Manny has yet to be in the kind of wars
Cotto has with exception to Marquez and Pac squeaked
passed him both times.

The only thing that could possibly give Pac the edge is
Freddie Roach in his corner. Pac is going to hit Cotto
but I think Cotto can take his punches but not sure Manny
can take Cotto's. I also know for sure that Cotto ain't going
to let Pac tee off on him and not fight back. Technically,
Cotto has flaws but I don't feel Manny is defensive or patient
enough to exposed them. I can't wait till this fight happens,
what is it two more weeks?

IMHO, you made a grave error. smiles, YOU said COTTO has been battle tested !

1. During his early fights he fought safe fights. Guys that couldn't really hurt him.

2. After he hit the big time , he fought Judah, Didn't look that great , especially in the begining and the low blows he gave pulled him thru certainly weakening Judah. Cotto showed game in that fight.

3. I felt surely the Mosley fight would prove Cotto GAME ! Mosley needed Hasim to train him not his dad. By the time Mosley turned it on it was nearly too late. IT was that MOSLEY fight that gave pause to question COTTOS GAMENESS ! Cotto was nailed in the late rounds and didn't like that and began some weird back peddling that doesn't become him. Mosleys fault ! Mosley fought a ****** fight but proved he could fight the right fight by having YORE MANG HOPKINS TRAINER in his corner , hence the Margo fight.

4. The Margo fight proved the terrible issue of weather he , Cotto , could take it. WE ALL KNOW the 7th round on , COTTO did not like being in there. EACH round wore on him, he came to the spot, poor feller, that in HIS MIND , he said , "THAT DID IT" , "I AM OUTA HERE", NO MAS, NO MAS,

How you can say Cotto is battle tested is beyond me. He didn't make the hurdle !!! I won't give the excuse of him being damaged goods so that people here can make that excuse when Pacmang does his thang on COTTO !

MP will quit in the fight against Cotto! Have you seen 24/7 and the size difference between the two fighters? MP over commits on his punches leaving himself exposed which Cotto will counter easily. MP looks like a kid compared to Cotto and should be weighing closely to their contractual weight give or take 5-10 pounds. Fighting a legit WW in his prime cannot be compared to fighting DLH. True boxing fans know the consecuences of fighting in a divison past your natural weight limit. MP is a hell of a fighter at 140 or below.

I don't think either that anybody here is comparing Cotto against ODLH coz it's ridiculous.

imho, pac will win this fight. pac's got all the tools to defeat cotto.he's got speed,power,stamina,skills,mobility, and with roach in his corner, he became a smart boxer. i just don't see how cotto will will negate all the above i mentioned with his size alone, unless of course if cotto will dig one to pac's nuts, then it will be a different story.

We all know that Pac is the faster man with his hands and feet but IMO what will be the big factor in this fight is wether or not Pac can get Cotto's respect in the ring.
We all have to take into consideration that Cotto has been in the ring in the past against some big strong welter weights and hit cleanly by them.
Look at the Margarito Cotto fight,i mean Cotto was hit flush in that fight many times from Margo who is a big and strong welter and he hit Cotto with everything he had(including cast in his gloves)and he was not able to put Cotto down for a ten count.Cotto's corner stopped the fight,that gave Margo the TKO.
IMO Pac will hit Cotto flush at some point in the fight but will he be able to get Cotto's attention?Will Pac hurt Cotto enough to back him off?I think that will determine how the fight goes.
