manny will be immortalized when he becomes the only 7-division champion.
he is tied with oscar having 6 belts in 6 different divs....
manny is also the first boxer to win the lineal championship in four different weight classes.
pac's record is better than any boxer that you know of.
cotto can beat manny but you can't change that facts anymore.Last edited by jetgeomcx; 10-27-2009, 07:11 AM.

However, should cotto not counterpunch this will be a short night for him, i can see a tko happening from pacman landing too many punches but a ko? i dont think so. that would be like saying pacman hits harder than judah clottey or ssm, obviously we dont count marg. come on he would never have ko'd odlh he just landed too many punches and dlh quit, thats would be the scenario that would play out, which would further justify the term kneegel quitto.
it is best for him to fyt his kind of fyt.
whatever manny brings, cotto fyt the way he always does!!
for him to counterpunch......that's ******!

People are underestimating Miguel's defense, he will be very smart that night. In the Hatton vs. Pacquaio fight, Lampley said, after Pacquiao knocked Hatton out, when Pacquaio quit looking for the knock-out, and went back to boxing, he got the knock-out. Miguel Cotto is not Ricky Hatton so I don't think he will be in harms way for a one knock out punch like Pacquiao gave to Hatton; Miguel keeps his hands high and his shoulders up.
SO if Manny Pacquiao boxes Miguel Cotto he will lose IMO because Cotto is the better and more intelligent boxer, although Pacquaio is crafty, he is not consistent enough, and I think Cotto can take some of his confidence away by hitting him with big shots and being patient like Juan Manuel Marquez; also I think when Cotto gets in trouble, he will switch to the southpaw stance and confuse Manny a bit; Cotto should switch from conventional to southpaw often.
If Manny stops boxing and looks for the knockout, or is overly aggressive against Miguel, he probably will knock Cotto down and hurt him - but we've all seen that before haha Miguel will get up like in the Corley or Torres fight and knock his oppenent down - but like Lampley basically warned about Pacquaio deviating from a boxing sytle, he will get into a slugging match with Cotto, hurt him and knock him down, but then eventually get knocked out.
Someone Pacquaio size, and not the size of Margarito (whether he loaded his gloves or not; I think he did) or Clotty, who is a HIGHLY technical boxer with A++ defensive skill, not to mention his protective physical structure, looking like a jr. middle weight for sure cannot IMO win in a slugging match against Cotto.
Bottom Line: Cotto by UD or SD; if Pacquaio wins I think it will be 9-11th round KO
ud or sd will definitely go to manny......
no way he will outpoint manny's punches in bunches.
manny and freddie are all ready when cotto switches to southpaw.
they are practicing their game plan for that scenario.
team pacquiao is ready for all that cotto will bring.
slugging match? and why would manny trade toe to toe against cotto??
manny is no fool.....
cotto power??...manny's punch resistance??...manny's power??
we will see the truth to all of these on 14 Nov.Last edited by jetgeomcx; 10-27-2009, 07:33 AM.
