The venue and opponent have yet to be determined but WBC junior middleweight champion Sergio Martinez is one of the names in the running. Williams had been scheduled to fight WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik. The fight was originally set for October 3 and later postponed when Pavlik was unable to train due to a staph infection on his left hand. The fight was pushed to December 5. On Wednesday afternoon Pavlik's promoter Top Rank, and his trainer Jack Loew, announced his withdrawal from the Williams fight. Pavlik's staph infection had not healed up as expected. Loew told a Youngstown paper that his fighter is not capable of making a fist with his left hand. [details]
