Now I'm going to say something that most of you will hate me for!
First and foremost, the fight didn't live to the hype!
Secondly, Morell made Benavidez to look average, at best!
Thirdly, both Benavidez and Morell DO NOT BELONG to the elite. Not 168, nor 175.
Canelo, Beterbiev and Bivol will shred any of the two to pieces.
I apologise if I have offended other pundits on this website!
    Happy Sunday all!

I'm here. We knew was going to be a tall order ,for both of them, and the people that paid fir the fight got his money worth. And Morrell jr is going to be much better because of it.

beterbiev will run him over but I would love to see it. the only thing bena really has is his good defense.beter isnt afraid to get hit and he will have no respect for bena's lack of power at 175 and the late rounds where bena starts to gas are where he will get stopped, beter is always the fresher guy in the late rounds

              Please elaborate ....
              • Size?: Nope... Beterbiev will be the "bigger" guy...
              • Power?: Nope... Top LHW will eat his punches all day... Now can he sustain Beterbiev aggression and iron fists for long ? I don't think so...
              • Technique?: Hell no ! ... bad footwork and his defense will be put to pieces against the two top dogs...
              • Stamina?: I don't even have to answer ...

Poor Benavidez. His destiny should be becoming undisputed at 168, but top dog is ducking him, so his destiny is being thrown to top dogs in higher division.

Benavidez gave a good account of himself yesterday and more importantly he improved since his last fight at 175 where he really struggled with his stamina in the second half of the fight against Gvozdyk. Yesterday, he was strong and accurate and his defense was excellent, but at the same time Morrell showed us that Benavidez he can be hurt when the punches land cleanly. I would love to watch Benavidez vs Beterbiev - it would be an absolute war for as long as it lasted.

Benavidez is great boxer and very entertaining but when he fights the best he open for left hook. For some reason Morrell didn't throw any left hooks but Beterbiev won't miss.

He's getting there. I say right now; Perhaps for the exception Isaac Cruz. He is the most crowd-pleasing and highly entertaining fighter in boxing today.

He has a definitely made a fan out of me. Actually both guys did; David Morrell as well. The difference was Morrell's lack of fundamentals and experience.

One can say what they want or will about David Morrell but I thought he displayed a very courageous and spirited effort against Benny; Along with a huge championship heart.

Damn! It was just mind boggling how we was able to him absorb that amount of punishment from Benavidez without clinching or going down.

Even though he was getting his ass whupped; Benavidez still was unable to faze, buzz, hurt, stop or drop this kid.
Every time he got hit he always came back at Benny.

While even rocking and dropping him at the same time. He has definitely made of fan out of me too with just eleven professional bouts.
