Tim Cheatham and Tom Taylor sure looked to be in the bag, horrible scorecard and Benavidez hit Morrell after the bell as well and when Morrell responded he ran to take a point right away, no wonder the place was half empty and UFC sells out.

you knockdown the monster in the championship rounds of your big fight, this is the stuff of legends. but here comes the ref to take it away.

really sad to rob morrell exuberance , what the 12th round coulda been. if all he does is just win the 12th, its 114-113 and people look different. maybe he gets a kd and then its a draw. morrell is more performance wow

I had it 116-112 Benny. Great fight. Right guy won. Good sportsmanship at the end. That’s what boxing is about folks

Wow, an excellent fight, certainly better than good.

Props to Benavidez, I didn't think he'd be that accurate. Yes, he suffered a flash knockdown, and got buzzed briefly in spots, but he landed more power punches.

Morrell is one tough man, to take some of those punches that would've ko'd other fighters.

Big respect to both guys, I see now why Morrell truly thought he could win.

Benavidez is gonna get even better at 75.

Meh. I’m a huge morrel fan but the point deduction made absolutely no difference. His inexperience cost him. Benevidez will give Bivol or beterbiev problems he was impressive as I’ve ever seen him tonite

That's the conventional wisdom, and I agree, unless they meet on the night Beterbiev gets old in the ring and can't pull that trigger no more.
Time is NOT on Beterbiev's side in this scenario.

Yes, that is very true. It depends on when the fight happens. If Beterbiev keeps fighting, eventually he will get old in the ring. Right now, based on his last fight he KOs Benavidez.

If the Gods of Boxing smile upon us, the suffering fans, Benavidez and Beterbiev move directly and forthwith to a fight within the next few months, hopefully before Artur ages out. Then we will see, as Lupe Contreras likes to say, "quien es mas macho".

I think Benavidez can be top guy at 175 in a few years when top dogs both get old and retire. Righ now no. I still think they both beat him, but he gives them a good fight.

I don`t even think Benavidez is such a big puncher. But his timing and work rate is great.
