Both guys came to fight and they did - they fought their hearts out. Benavidez deserved the win fair and square, but this is the first time I saw someone push him back and hurt him in a real fight. Anyway, two fights at 175, no KO, no real power at the new weight and immense trouble against someone like Beterbiev.
We all knew Morrell wasn't gonna win a decision, but .. this is a bit much. Even the ref chipped in. This said, Morrell did not fight intelligently. And his team didn't ajust. Where was his jab? the movement early on? Why try and **** it out? ******. Oh well... live and learn.

Benevidez never had one punch KO power. It's the accumulation that make the opponents cave. And tonight, he started fast and didn't slow down like he did against the retired Ukrainian. Which has me thinking.. Has Heredia start to work his magic? I'm starting to have doubts about Benevidez "special" conditioning. No proof, but..
