Jermall is basically retired. Guys not been in the right head space for a few years now and unless it’s a big payday probably won’t see him back but doubt that’s gonna be out there because the guys stock is so low.. and Jermall is a really good fighter but personal life stuff derailed him just as he was about to cash in on big fightsComment

its 9 years since he beat Julian Williams - seems so long ago - since then 7 fights at MW and last was at 166lbs or MW. 8 wins and 2 by KO. Basically his power deserted him. It's a guarantee that he can't make MW any more - which is most likely why fight was cancelled. And he's not knocking out any half-decent SMWs. His brother snatched the Canelo opportunity from him. I suspect he will come back for the money - boxer with mental health issues or at least instability does not normally equal good money management.
But that is what is wrong with US boxing. There should be a a whole host of exciting new stars who have superseded Charlo at MW or thereabouts - where are they?Comment
