What is strange is that in his old age he has started knocking people out. Five of his last six fights are stoppages. Some might say it is the quality of his opposition at 160 lbs.

Why should he retire when he can make his once a year easy payday against non-threatening opponents like Lamanna, Zerafa, and Garcia?

Lara wants his next yearly pension. Lubin is ready. I don't think Adames wants another belt.

It isn't that unusual. His feet can't move as fast as they once did so he has to stand flat footed. That massively increases punching power. Obviously, it also leaves him more open to get hit but that comes back to your point of quality of opposition. Erislandy can afford to stand right in front of a lot of today's M/Ws & trade because they just aren't v good. I suspect he wouldn't want to stand & trade with Hamzah Sheeraz.

I love the haters on him, the boy can box his a_s off and may not be the most destructive or exciting fighter but you can't take away his skillset!

Any chance PBC staging a unification fight between Lara and Adames?

For me, Lara has been one of the most frustrating fighters to watch over the years; but at the same time, I still love to watch him box. One of the best I've seen and has somehow emerged as one of my favorites of the past 10 years

Lara vs Paul Williams seems like a lifetime ago.

Wish we could have got GGG/Lara. Golovkin would have forced a firefight from Lara
