RJJ & Josh Kelly were both human, both male and both chose to become professional boxers. At that point all similarities end.
Last 2 days I'm 6-1 on Lichess. I'm one BAD MoFo!

'Beterbiev and Bivol aren't 'business men' tho.. if it was any other boxer I'd agree. This is what Arum has to say about Beterbiev moving up to cruiser in the future -
Arum - “That’s going up and giving up 25 lbs. As good as he is, that’s a step too far in my opinion....

I like Regis, he is a thoughtful & intelligent man & a was an exceptional fighter. Can he still do it at 35? Not sure, he didn't look good v Haney at all.pnut901 likes this.

Hard to see AJ coming back from this. After he lost to Ruiz he tried to reinvent himself as a more technical boxer but he doesn't have a fantastically high ring IQ. I'm not trying to be nasty but you think of Lomachenko, Tank, Bud, & their brain is always thinking 5 moves ahead. When AJ fought Usyk...

TBH people on here may or may not know about the sport of boxing but they definitely don’t understand the business of boxing. There is no chance of the winner of Bivol-Beterbiev defending against Buatsi. Both Bivol and Beterbiev are approaching their career end. The winner is going to want a last...

Mick Higgs. Yes, it would make a great film. Fitzsimmons & Tom Molyneaux are the 2 fighters that, IMO, are just crying out for a full celluloid treatment. Fitzsimmons & Wyatt Earp is just comedy gold, you literally couldn't make that @@@@ up! I also think Randy Turpin's story would make a great...Mick Higgs likes this.

'He couldn't even land that on berlanga but Benavidez is just going to be wide open like a bum? You still have not realized Benavidez is actually very hard to hit clean? Guess who has realized this. Canelo'.
No. You're right that Benavidez is better than Berlanga but that doesn't mean Benavidez...

I was supporting Denny as the West Mids boy but it was never competitive. Sheeraz needs a title fight asap. I look at him & wonder how much longer he can safely make 160. There are loads of good fights for Denny domestically. I like him v any of Liam Smith, Josh Kelly or CEJ. Now that Conor Benn...

Gotta feel sorry for Josh Padley, he's there thinking 'well, huge bill, every favourite has won but I scored the upset of the night'. Sorry, Josh, you won't get many headlines outside the S Yorks Express....pnut901 likes this.

El-Feroz99 I don't agree Kelly has good punch variety. He doesn't jab enough & a good puncher will work everything off the jab. Kelly just moves around in this slightly crouched position & looks to throw counters from odd angles. That isn't great punch variety....

That is the difference, Ridd1ck couldn't have beaten Lennox in any way except if he brought a gun.

The weird thing is, to me, Canelo beats Benavidez. Benavidez is going to storm forwards, turning square on at times, leaving himself wide open for Canelo's favourite uppercut. I can understand both of them swerving Morrell but, for the life of me, I don't understand Canelo ducking a fight he would,...

Bob Fitzsimmons v 'gentleman' (in the loosest sense) Jim Corbett. Fitzsimmons rendered Corbett incapable with one body shot. How many SMWs would have been able to take a big Cruiserweight out with one body punch? The fact that Corbett was a de****able, prejudiced toe rag makes it even better. One p...Mick Higgs likes this.

Phase III, that is kinda interesting because I never like these situations where the father lives out his ring ambitions through his son. It is one thing where the father has been a boxer hisself, but I know an example, at a much lower level, where the father decided the son should be a boxer. His mother...
