I don’t see how Morrell would pose much of a challenge to Benavidez at 175.

He lacks both the stamina and punching power to seriously threaten David Benavidez in the ring.

The “Mexican monster’s” chin and workrate will make all the difference in this matchup.

Happy that this fight got made. There was no point for both fighters to wait forever for Canelo's payday @ 168. The winner would be a legit challenger for AB-DB II winner.

Both guys like to attack. That's part of what makes this a must watch fight for me. It's also good to see Morrell admit that he respects his opponents and knows this is going to be a tough fight. Despite his confidence, he's not going to underestimate Benavidez.

I can't believe this guy said David Morrell have no punching power. Man! David Morrell is stronger than David Benavidez and hits harder! Both of these guys, mirror each other! They look alike and they fight alike! This is going to be a great fight. Another thing, David Morrell has power in both of his hands! Everybody talks about David Benavidez as being the Mexican Monster, but this fight will give him his best ever challenge! We have never seen David Benavidez hurt in any fight. We really haven't seen him get hit hard to see his response! This fight is going to give us all of the answers, about both of these warriors.

Can’t wait to see what’ll happen when Benavidez finally gets cracked in the head by an opponent that matches him in size, power and skill. If he’s still undeterred to come forward then he’ll probably win and I’ll have no choice but to believe the hype.

Gabe Rosado said in a recent interview that Morrell needs to set traps to counter Benny’s work rate. I have to agree. The Mexican is non-stop. DMJ can’t match it. I’m hopeful that his skills and power tell. I don’t think Benavidez has faced someone who matches his size; and, of course, Morrell hasn’t faced anyone nearly as good as his namesake. Great fight on paper. Let’s hope it lives up to our expectations.

I also appreciated Morrell’s attitude. It’s a psychological fine line in sports. You have to believe you’re gonna win, but you can’t get co cky.
