As far as Usyk above Lewis, if you’re talking entire career, then sure, but this is referring specifically to the 21st century. In this century Lewis beat Michael Grant, Botha, Tua, went 1-1 with Rahman, beat a washed Tyson and then got a fortunate stoppage against Vitali Klitchko in a fight he was quite possibly on his way to losing and then he retired instead of having a rematch. Usyk’s heavyweight run and beating much bigger men as an underdog while becoming undisputed certainly rivals that.
So Usyk beat a wildly overrated, obese Dr. Eggman twice, an overrated, chinny body builder twice, an old and busted journeyman (Chisora) and Chazz Fcking Witherspoon. See how that works?

As high as I regard Usyk, Lewis’ record in the 2000’s is still better than Usyk’s.

Including the spectacular KO loss against journeyman Rahman? Or the beating he was receiving from Vitali before the fight was stopped or the magnanimous win against a washed up Tyson?
That record is what you say is better than Usyk’s?

Just the mere facts Usyk debuted at MW in the amateurs, won Olympic gold , made his way into Undisputed at 200 and another Undisputed run at 200+ beating the best heavies of this specific era including winning direct rematches as well are enough accolades to consider The Cat the very best of this century.

          ...all this being UNDEFEATED still.

I'd really like to see a series like this going through all of the weight classes. I don't quibble with lists or argue about fighters placement since they are all subjective anyway. Any fighters career and opponents can be retroactively dissected and torn apart using the magic of hindsight and agendas. I enjoy this type of article for what they are , one knowledgeable persons opinions.

The list starts in the 2000's .

                  Great list, Kieran.

I was prepared to rip it to shreds until I realized, like you said, that Lennox only fought 4x in this century, so yeah, that's about right.

You also left out Dubois but your opinion of who is overrated isn’t really relevant to the argument(especially when you have to defend grant and Botha )because you’re not basing it on anything other than your irrelevant opinion. Facts are Usyk was an underdog against both Joshua and fury and came away with the wins against both. Both of whom were more accomplished than anyone Lewis beat in the 2000’s other than maybe Tyson and he was clearly a shell of himself by then.

he literally ko'd 1 top 10(ring) ranked fighter his entire career and had a 33% ko percentage against top 10 opponents. its not the most potent right hand or most power in boxing history. how can you keep falling for the hype when you now have all the evidence showing otherwise?

also having wilder above parker and ruiz makes 0 sense. do they not have far superior resumes? oh wait that massive power wilder had against tomato cans...
The skinny foo had power but nowhere near the hardest puncher of this era let alone ever. He weighs 208-215lbs, doesn't have enough weight to knock out anyone with a decent chin.

We saw his real power Vs Zhang and Parker where his punches were pathetic and just bouncing off of them. Nothing changed in his power between those fights and Fury, it's just that Fury gets knocked down easily.
