Comments Thread For: WBA provides some clarity on Murodjon Akhmadalievs pursuit of Nayoa Inoue
Among all of boxings conundrums, the case of Murodjon "M.J." Akhmadaliev and how he can get a fight with Naoya Inoue is high on the list of the most perplexing.

They should do Akhmadaliev before Picasso. He's earned the shot.
I hope they do fight but frankly, they should all put a deadline month/date instead of simply saying "next fight" in general. Sure, if it was the likes of annual fighting beltholders then a next fight requirement is needed but Inoue is one of the most active ones right now. I mean, for example if Inoue was inactive there is a chance he could go January Goodman then September MJ for his next fight. However if Picasso slides in on April/May then Aug/Sept for MJ somehow that is bad???
Also, not sure if it is true but wasn't MJ (or possibly Eddie) b!tching about fighting in Japan and wants it with a Saudi card or in the US/UK when he's the obvious B-side challenger?
I think MJ vs Inoue could do great numbers at Vegas . Naoya has to fight his mandatory in anything else is a bad PR . Good fight to I have Inoue by Decision.
Those of us who follow the lower divisions are well aware of Akhmadaliev, who was a dominant unified champion prior to having a flat night vs Tapales and losing a split decision fighting the worst in his career vs a career best performance from Tapales. Picasso should absolutely not jump the line, as Inoue has already fought his WBC mandatory in Nery. MJ would be another good resume win for Inoue in a way that Picasso would not.
Akhmadalev has only fought cab drivers since losing to Tapales. He only became mandatory because the WBA favors Matchroom to some extent, not because he did anything remotely deserving of that status.
