Should have fought him instead of trash TJ Doheny.
If Arum and Eddie isn't willing to cooperate, crossing fingers Turki is talking directly with Ohashi literally right now for an August Saudl card and tells minion Eddie to nod like a good dog he is.

But as Inoue said it himself on twitter..."Why the hell would I have to run from a guy who lost to Tapales? Absolutely zero need for that...I'm focused fully on my next fight with Goodman right now so wait your turn and in the mean time raise the value of winning against you" instead of wasting time just fighting chumps significantly weaker than the said Tapales or Doheny.

Still, if worst case Vegas and Top Rank isn't budging because they reeeeeally want the Mexican following to sell the card, I don't care if the Picasso match leads to the WBA being temporarily stripped and go to MJ as long as they are willing to agree to fight in the summer under Saudi (which MJ likely won't be fighting until anyway because he isn't fighting in April if offered Vegas knowing his inactiveness). That way it immediately returns back to Inoue for the Nakatani showdown in December which is what matters the most. However, something about MJ makes me think he'll make whatever excuse not to do a re-undisputed fight once he gets an email belt unless it is on their terms and they further b!tch when Inoue says eff you I'm going to 126 which will unfortunately happen if MJ/Eddie isn't going to go on Inoue's schedule.

The fact is he is next according to the rotation system and rightfully deserves his shot. Not Picasso.

Elijah is ranked No 2 at WBA and ranked at No 7 by Ring ****zine. Instead MJ fought can ranked No 88 by BoxRec lol.
Facts are that he's the WBA mandatory, and that's the one that's next in rotation, not the WBC again. You should have this energy for literally thousands of other fighters who fight the guys that sign to fight them rather than others who are higher ranked who never even enter negotiations.
This is beyond stup1d, especially in the case of Tapales, who obviously wasn't going to skip the money fight with Inoue to rematch MJ. He's been fighting rebuild fights ever since, and is certainly not going to risk fighting MJ again without a belt on the line. And guys call out other fighters all the time without ever entering negotiations. I don't take any of that seriously without even an offer sent, let alone contracts. SMH.

That being said, if the sad true fact that he has zero fans is the hindering source and Arum wants the Vegas card to get Mexican viewership with Picasso, at this point go ahead and strip WBA and set up another undisputed in the summer with Saudi where crowd number means **** anyway, so that the December Nakatani fight is for undisputed in Tokyo.
However people tend to forget but it isn't like MJ has been waiting that much longer than the other mandatories, he's just started b!tching earlier than the others.
Nery became a mandatory on Feb 2023, and fought Inoue on May 2024 which is 15 month as mando.
Goodman became a mandatory on June 2023, and was supposed to fight on Dec 2024 which became Jan 2025 which is 18-19 month as mando.
MJ became a mandatory on Dec 2023, b!tched about being passed over for Sept 2024 by Doheny which was 9 month after he even became a mando. B!tched about Goodman (who's been waiting longer than MJ) getting Dec 24, and managed to get an interim belt less than a year waiting mandatory. He'll likely get emailed up to fulltime around Feb25, 14 month as mandatory.
If Inoue wasn't an active guy and fought less frequently, and had his schedule been Jul23 Fulton, Dec23 Tapales, May24 Nery, Dec24/Jan25 Goodman, Summer25 MJ, then no one would claim Inoue is ducking MJ. But when Doheny and Picasso comes in between somehow makes it look like a duck.
Either way, I'll just cross my fingers hoping MJ is up to fight for re-undisputed in Aug because that seems like the final chance of it happening at this point...

It's the perks of being a super champion and that's why you have to pay more in sanctioning fees to WBA. Inoue won the WBA title in December 26, 2023 and won't have to defend it until june 26, 2026.
And you think MJ, the mandatory and B side, is supposed to send the offer? GTFO. YDKSAB.

That being said, the notion that MJ doesn't have any fans, and Picasso does is just ridiculous. MJ is a former unified champion at the weight class, while Picasso is a nobody, with zero good wins period. He didn't even fight a guy with a winning record until his 11th fight, has fought nobody of note since, and his best win is Azat Hovhannisyan, whose best claim to fame is losing every time he so much as looked at the title picture. And that was his ONLY 12 rounder ever.
IMO, it's the Top Rank brass being scared of an upset and wanting a softer touch for what is, wrongly, being viewed as Inoue's debut outside of Japan. And that entire fake narrative drives me nuts. MJ is the most credible opponent left in the division, as a former unified champion with only a split decision loss as a blemish, unless you value Casimero, which I don't (and talk about someone who isn't doing anything to get back into the title picture...)
If anything, MJ seems to have plenty of haters for some reason, which ought to sell tickets.
