Feel for Robeisy, if you’ve broken part of your orbital bone you know that’s some DISCOMFORT. It’s not so painful well I was on prescribed drugs. It feels like your eye is floating. I broke my left in 3/4 and my right in 2/4. Man the recovery is horrible because you can’t really move for weeks while your eye sets back in place. It’s like your eyes feel like it’s going to fall out. I would definitely not fight again that day that takes some serious guts but also your eye will not set right so you have to get more cosmetic surgery versus just healing.

Great insight, man. Hope you’re back to 100%. God bless you.

I'm not making a judgement one way or another yet, but whether it actually made contact being besides the point when you look at this in slow-mo it may give an impression that he may have been aiming to hit with his elbow.

The first one certainly looks like he missed on an intended elbow, hidden perfectly from the ref.

Rewatched both fights today. That was a quit job in my book. He's allowed to do it, for sure. But it shows he doesn't have the heart to be great. Also, the commentary prior was disgusting. They were glazing Robeisy so hard, and overlooking the many good things Espinoza was doing. El Hype Tren got built up way too fast and got derailed badly.

I was also struck that Espinoza and chonky Navarrete were within a few pounds of each other on the night. Imagine if Navarrete were actually fit. Maybe he could actually still make 126. Really speaks to how difficult it will be for Inoue to be successful at 126, if he tries to move up. There's some huge dudes with heavy hands at those weight classes, although none with the skill level.

True but he was holding a fighter to a certain standard (that of Vasquez), if that's the case he should himself up to similar standards for his profession.

I've never liked Kriegel and I have no problem admitting my bias against him. However his actions and words usually confirm my bias.

Yup I agree there would be a much better way of putting it than comparing it to the Vasquez incident

Espinoza was obviously throwing elbows and forearms. Alot of fighters do but it isnt so obvious, nor dangerous, with most because they aren't freakishly huge compared to their opponents.

Ramirez was right to quit. I watched the fight again and the fouling was pretty obvious and his vision is more important than the win obviously. Espinoza was getting beaten and pounded to the midsection and missing his own shots so he started fouling. His stomach was already red and getting worse after the first round. Not hard to figure out.

After rewatching I believe Ramirez is alot more talented and without his freakish size, Espinoza isn't very good. So we all kind of have to make our own decisions on how we feel about huge reach and height advantages, versus really talented guys who dont have those huge natural advantages.

Espinoza showed real heart in the first one. In this one I think he got dirty and showed a bad side. Of course many will hee and haw at that, and say who cares. Many of the same posters condemned Ryan Garcia for having a millionth of a gram of a weak sarm in his piss.

Ramirez could have been blinded. He was winning the fight, no need for him to quit if he hadn't basically blinded.

I didnt watch replays and debates to the nth degree. But when I saw it live, I said to myself that was an elbow, and then saw the welt which matched an elbow or scrap more than a punch. I was surprised nobody mentioned it until afterward.

It's possible that replays showed something different. They often do, but I that's how I saw it at the time.

If you look up the full fight video on YouTube, the moment appears to be caught at 20:36. Espinoza throws a right, and his elbow catches Ramirez on the face (quite likely the eye). Divino follows up with a coiled left, which appears like yet another elbow. Robeisy shoots to his left and looks momentarily at the ref, as if in protest. In the post-fight interview, Ramirez says the elbow happened in the fourth; but it appears he was simply confused as to the round. It happened in the fifth. Robeisy’s corner should’ve complained to the ref and had a doctor examine their fighter before the opening of the sixth; instead, Salas told his charge to go out and “see how he feels.” I don’t think anything can be done about it now. Bad move.

                      Can’t blame you there
I was watching on ESPN+ so no commercials or interuptions
Maybr more footage cause I also thought it was an elbow at first ( it really looked like
                      the elbow made contact )
