It was essentially a known prediction but guess they announced it earlier than planned because IBF jumped the gun and ordered a purse bid on something that was all but finalized. Usually they wait until Takei's opponent is officialized then announce it all.
Now hurry up and get him out of the way so Inoue-MJ can be announced for Vegas next Spring and Eddie can shut up his fruitless yapping.

If anything, this lineup makes me think that with Inoue likely fighting in the US next April with an outside chance of Nakatani as well, Ohashi/Teiken is planning a joint event again in Japan around spring that is centered around Teraji as main event.

Sam Goodman isn't entertaining to watch, since he is a akward slow output fighter, but he gas granite chin, makes you miss and tends to start strong in the last 6 rounds of the fight.
He has a underrated resume with wins over TJ Doheny (23-3, 17 KOs), Ra'eese Aleem (20-0,12 KOs), and Chainoi Worawut (25-0, 1 draw, 15 KOs).
Not is he only a physically bigger fighter than Inoue at 5'7 in Super Bantamweight. Though not a former or current champion, he is his third ranked opponent this year after Nery and Doheny, with the Previous year in 2023 defeating the likes of Tapales and Fulton.
Nonetheless while it is not a duck, he is the lesser opponent compared to the former champion of Uzbekistan, Murodjon Akhmadaliev, whose not only a former champion, but is a big punching southpaw with a heavy amateur background. Having beaten Ryosuke Iwasa in 5th round TKO, who had stopped Marlon Tapales himself.
Perhaps next year along with Picasso/Casimero.
