Well Manny moved up at pretty normal rates from 122 to 130 in his late 20s and then 30ish he quickly moved from 130 to 147.


Inoue is already slightly older and I dont think he cuts as much weight at 122 as Pac used to. I agree on the idea that if he wants to move up now is a good age to do it but we should not expect him at 147 like manny. Manny was already in the 140s fight night weight when he started to move to 140 and 147. Inuue is smaller than Pacquaio.

But could he go to 126 and 130 sure

It's not like Nery is Sunny Edwards or someone like that. Nery can punch. Anyone can get knocked down, it's what happens after you get up that matters.

Inoue is a bad dude. The issue his mega fans have is at the lower weights the comp is not the same and with Inoue's obvious incredible natural power, he may be a guy who can compete at a much higher weight. But.

At his age and build though, he probably won't go past 130 and so he will never make the case. As for me, I just enjoy watching him stop guys and appreciate what he brings to the sport. His mega fans seem to think that he needs defenders and that he is the best fighter of all time based on him unifying in light punching divisions. He really doesn't.

122 is already his 5th weight class. Floyd fought in 5 weight classes in his career.
