Shakur can't win, even though he continues to win.

Shakur extremely talented but doesn’t have that dog in him like Bud, Tank, and Boots!

No one wants to watch Olympic boxing. I like Shakur and he has the skillset to make big money. But he fights far too defensively minded and he takes very little risk.

And here is the thing for all the "well what is he supposed to do, go in there and fight ******??" fans. No. He isn't. In the pros, fans want fights with drama, they want KO's, they want action and battle. That is where the money, fame and respect is built. A pure boxer in the pro's has to be able to go to that next level and take chances and figure out a way to stop their opponents. All the greats have. Not every fight will be a stoppage, but there needs to be a genuine attempt to hurt the guy and not just 12 rounds of two or three good shots and then " well my opponent didn't want to fight" BS.

Hartunyan was right there all night. Stevenson's offense was there for about 15% of the fight.

Slick fighting and fighting to not get hit and to obviously win on points, especially against a B level guy, is a certain way to win. It is also a certain way to lose fans, to never get big fights and to put people to sleep. All the "well you just want him to go in and get knocked out" talk is utterly silly. They greats who built the sport were able to stop the best and go toe to toe with the best and make for legendary performances.

The crop we see today is mainly awful. Sport is on life support and I predict basically totally dead and totally having a niche fan base inside a decade. And as the money goes, they sport will decline to the point of being a memory.

I'm telling people Shakur is feather-fisted and a runner vs a power puncher.

Stevenson's performances are usually dismissed, but the one thing that most people fail to realize is that in his career, he has fought opponents with an average loss total of 2. He has not fought bums in his short career. He beats reputable fighters that have confidence.

It's gotta be hard to remain defeated, while fighting opponents who are not used to losing. Stevenson will look great against some opponents, and ordinary against others. This is usually what can be expected when a fighter faces the best that's willing to get in the ring with him.

Out of the opponents that Shakur calls out, I only see Tank, Inoue and Teofimo giving him a run for his money (it will be a toss up - either Shakur will win or Shakur will lose). He'll beat everyone else.
