Typical Shakur fight. Great boxing skills and defense but little eye catching offense with a lot of pitty pat punching. The way Shakur talks to his trainer and grandfather in the corner is disgraceful. Shakur is arguing with him constantly. Does he not respect anyone, even the guy who got him into the sport anf nurture his talent? You would never hear Andre Ward speak with Virgil Hunter like that.

Sometimes casuals don't appreciate the skills of the game I don't think it's that way when we're talking about Shakur.

In professional prize fighting when you get to the upper echelons you can't just be a boxer puncher who is elusive. You either have to have incredible skills that are efficient and second nature, or you have to be able to keep punchers honest with your counter punching...or both.

We've seen guys like caleb plant who actually does have some power, get in a jam against a real hitter. My question would be what is Shakur going to do to keep Tank off of him? When faced with a similar situation. It's going to look like Frank Martin all over again.

When you talk about a great fighter like Pernell Whitaker you're talking about a guy who actually had efficiency of movement that could maintain for a whole fight, Whitaker could also counter punch and catch you. Whitaker never had to struggle to be elusive. Of course he is an extreme example because he is an ATG fighter.

There's a big difference between being inefficient but capable of running away and having efficient movement and being able to counter. Think Austin trout versus Caleb plant versus canelo...

Shakur can’t even keep it honest. Dude said that Artem didn’t come to fight but was in his face the entire fight. It’s called lies. But the biggest irony of this is how he circled the ring like a thousand times against DLS with pure fear. This guy is special. He has the audacity to call another fighter out like that after his performance against DLS???? Nah, son….fall back with that. He still has DLS problems.
