I can appreciate sublime boxing skills displayed by Shakur, Floyd, Rigo, etc, but pro sports is about entertainment, and moreover, entertainment for the masses who spend money to watch exciting fights.
Pro boxing needs rule changes. So, a win is earned only via KO, TKO, or scoring more knockdowns if it goes the distance. Anything else is a draw. Runners and no-risk boxers who look to cruise to decisions will be stigmatized commercially by a record blemished with a high number of draws, e.g. 2-0-16. That last number would be a red flag to promoters and broadcasters who will, instead, favor big money contracts for the 16-0-2 fighter, or even a 16-2-0 athlete.
While we're at it, stictly enforce excessive holding (which is a detriment to entertainment value) with a disqualification loss.
The byproduct of this pro-system is the banishment of judges and their corruption, and the implemention of instant replay to ensure missed calls are reviewed publicly and corrected between rounds.
